So, like all these mattresses, it's just a thick piece of foam with a cover for a lot of money. Follows safe sleep guidance on being firm and flat. It's definitely not flimsy. But it fits what I needed it for (pram bassinet). Best to place an incontinence pad between it and the sheet because it isn't waterproof.
