Liberty 5 by Anker Noise-Cancelling Earbuds with Dolby Audio

Soundcore Liberty 5 by Anker: natural without peaks or dips from my experience. Open sounding particularly with the app's Dolby or other setting for the P30i. Great noise cancellation! I had an attic exhaust fan running and really couldn't hear the fan -- I didn't change the noise cancellation settings. The wind setting could be nice in a car or airplane. Price: at $80 I think it is reasonable. The P30i sounds close if not the same for $30. So, for me, at the list price of $130 I would go with the P30i. I have both, the P30i and the Liberty 5. The liberty came with more ear cushions. The lid slides. Either earbud works well and sounds great. I didn't play with the tap/slide controls.

These are great! To be perfectly honest, I was not 100% satisfied with the sound when I first got them but I downloaded the Soundcore app, where you can customize your sound preferences, and now I am in love with these! The fit is great! They don’t fall out of my small ear holes 😆 and are lightweight. I fall asleep with them in most nights because they are so non-invasive in your ears. The COLOR - I have the Apricot (or something like that) color and the case is so beautiful. It’s almost pearlescent. I also love the slide back top versus the flip top like most earbuds have. I did buy a clear protective cover for the case because I don’t want to ruin it it’s so pretty. They have great noise cancellation - I had them in in the bathroom with the overhead fan running and had to take one earbud out to check if I was hearing things correctly because I could not hear the fan at all and thought I forgot to turn it on. These earbuds feel and sound high-quality and I am looking forward to buying the newer version when the time comes to replace these. Battery life is also excellent.

Decent earbuds, sound quality is amazing, noise cancellation is mid. If it’s windy there’s feedback and it keeps getting loud then quiet , but still works great on the lawnmower as long as it’s not too windy , if there’s sudden sharp noise like hitting metal with the weedwhacker they pop and crackle in my ear , the case is also mid cuz it tries to slide open when I put it in my pocket, battery life is great tho , overall they are great for the money but not AirPods Pro quality, Bluetooth connectivity is good, soundcore app works good for customizing sounds

Love the noise reduction, one of its best features, a little bit bigger than the AirPods, which could be better for a clumsy person like me, bit more harder to slip through my fingers. As advertised the case is not that comfortable and easy to open and close, but the price, the sound quality and the fact that they come in black which is good enough for me. They work great on my iPhone, iPad and TV.

TLDR: 5 star audio, 1 star controls/case, rounding to 3 stars because the controls really are that bad. Full review: I have owned several sets Anker Soundcore earbuds over the last few years, as well as other brands. The Liberty 5 has by far the best sound quality of any of the Soundcore offerings, and that includes waterproofing and incredibly useful, granular controls for noise canceling levels. However, the controls are TERRIBLE. You have to squeeze the earpiece quite firmly, and then there is a 1-2 second delay for the audio to turn off or on (meaning that sometimes you think it worked, or didn't, and you end up having to squeeze it multiple times). Sometimes I have to squeeze it so hard that it seems like it could damage the earpiece over time, which can't be good. Additionally, the case slides in a way that feels the same from every side, so you have to actively look at and rotate the case so that you dont push it in a way it could break by sliding to open it (no opening without looking/in the dark). Because of this, and the fact that the connection point between the halves of the case feels flimsy, the case is likely to break within 6 mo (I have had it ~2 mo). Anker's p40i had top notch controls (highly responsive touch/tap) and a case that functioned as a stand, but lacked waterproofing and the sound quality was just ok. But because the p40i has such great controls, I could tap the audio on and off easily while doing chores - even with the back of my hand if my hands were wet. Between the two Soundcore models I am comparing here, for my purposes, I would opt for better controls even if the sound quality was not as good so that I could use them more fluently throughout my day. The Liberty 5 was a disappointment and a waste of money compared with the more responsive p40i model.

I've been using thse earbuds for a week now and I'm genuinely impressed. The noise cancellation is outstanding — it blocks out distractions whether I'm commuting, working, or just relaxing. You literally can't hear even your voice. The Dolby Audio delivers rich, clear sound with deep bass and crisp highs. The fit is comfortable for long listening sessions, and the battery life is solid. Connecting to my devices was seamless and quick. Overall, these earbuds offer excellent quality for the price

Great earbuds. Sound quality is better than most others I have owned, fit is comfortable over long periods, battery life is really strong (I have been using them for over a week and still don't need to charge them), and the app is really nice. I bought them primarily because they are supposed to have a good transparency mode, and I can confirm it is excellent. Really the closest to not having an earbud in as far as sound quality I have found so far. The noise cancelling is also better than other comparably priced ear buds I have tried.

(Disclaimer I used AI to check grammar and clean up the review) Everything about these headphones is great, especially at this price point, and I would definitely recommend them. The sound quality is warm, the noise cancellation is phenomenal, and they’re comfortable enough to wear for the entire battery life without fatigue. They fit securely, charge quickly when needed, and the Bluetooth connection and syncing are excellent. The waterproofing is also top-tier—I accidentally dropped an earbud in milk, where it stayed submerged for about a minute, and after drying it off, it worked perfectly with no issues or crackling. My only gripe is the touch controls. I’m not a fan of the squeeze controls since they often dislodge the earbuds and feel less responsive than tap controls, which I would have preferred. Also, I’d recommend getting a color other than black—the blue ones I have are much easier to find if you drop an earbud or are searching for them.

Works well for price. Good that one can personalise settings via the app and have a choice of in-ear bud size. Haven’t had a chance to use the noise cancelling for air travel yet and suspect it won’t come near over-ear headphones.

Amazing product
