dreame X50 Ultra with Self-Cleaning All in One Robot Vacuum and Mop

I bought this as a used but like new X50 Ultra unit but when set up it did not perform as it should. I sent the unit's actual serial number to Dreame. They confirmed that although it came in an Ultra 50x box, it is actually an L40s Ultra. (See Below) Thank you for letting us know. We understand your concern regarding the device model and the leg extension issue. Based on the Product SN you provided, we have confirmed that the device model is L40s Ultra. Somebody apparently swapped units somewhere along the line, returned an inferior unit, and Amazon didn't catch it when it was returned. When I set it up and the vacuum did not operate with all the features that model should have had, on inspection I found that the serial numbers on the factory box and on the unit itself were different I'm shipping it back for a refund and I'm very disappointed! I hope Amazon at least follows up and does something about this with whomever perpetrated this fraud! Even though I'm getting a refund I still have to repack the unit and I've lost the better part of a day trying to get it to work, corresponding with Dreame and Amazon and i still don't have a working robot vacuum/ mop! BTW, Dreame live customer service is apparently just a call center. When I first tried to troubleshoot by calling them, when I finally got through, the person I spoke with knew less about the unit than I did. They were actually reading the instructions to familiarize themselves with its operation and were generally impolite. After five minutes of nothing, I ended up telling them that they had no idea what they were talking about, that they were wasting my time and hung up.

The Dreame X50 Ultra does a good job of keeping my floors maintained with its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Overall, I like the convenience of having a robot handle the day-to-day cleaning, and it definitely helps keep the area looking clean with minimal effort. Unfortunately, there are a couple of issues that keep me from giving it a higher rating. The biggest problem is that the auto-empty feature doesn't work properly. I have to remove the top of the vacuum, access the dustbin, and manually empty it into a trash can. It's not a huge inconvenience, but having to do this regularly kind of defeats one of the main purposes of having a robot vacuum in the first place. The front arm brush is also frustrating. It constantly falls off while the vacuum is running, which means I have to hunt around for it, find it, and reattach it. This has happened often enough that it's become a recurring annoyance. Overall, I like the Dreame X50 Ultra and think it does a good job with vacuuming and mopping, but the reliability issues with the auto-empty function and the constantly falling-off brush keep it from being a great experience. Three stars feels fair: good cleaning performance and convenience, but some important features aren't working as they should.

Edit: Support reached out and offered to replace it. New one works better though still likes to run over wayyyyy too many things it should be able to avoid, leading it to just stop what it was doing because the main brush is stopped by whatever it ran over. That said, my roommates got one from a different (major) brand for a different floor of the house, and that one is 100x worse in every aspect so all a matter of perspective I guess. I feel I was a little harsh and heated when writing the original review. It has been keeping my floors clean for the most part, just got progressively more frustrating. I don't think I can justify 5 stars as I don't know how many of these problems are just going to reappear after a few months, but for now bumped up to 3 stars. Original review: Total waste of money. Broke after a few months and support wants the entire base station sent back with it just to repair the robot itself. Terrible experience, mop pads constantly fall off, it constantly gets stuck and runs things over. I will never be buying this brand again.
