Gift for brother, said he would never need to buy another phone for the rest of his life. Loved it. Sound quality is great! Super durable. Battery life is exceptional. Very easy to use. Compatible for Tello, T-Mobile, etc. He simply switched the card out. He did not need to take it in and have it reprogrammed.

Kyocera phones definitely are dead. I bought this phone on 1/19/2926 and the battery died on 6/10/2026. This Amazon listing shows a 1 year warranty so I messaged the seller who was The Wiz Cells and they claimed all warranty claims are through Kyocera. I called Kyocera 4 times and they all said the battery is considered an accessory and is not covered under warranty so I would have to pay $40 for a new battery after paying $200 on the phone just 5 months ago. The Wizz claims to be a certified reseller and when I messaged them again they said if I mentioned their name my warranty claim will go through. Called Kyocera again and mentioned The Wiz Cells and Kyocera never heard of them. Again messaged The Wiz and they said they would have Kyocera send me a new battery, because they had connections. Well it’s been over a month and no replacement battery. I messaged The Wiz and they had no idea why I didn’t get my battery yet. Everything about this phone is awesome, big buttons for text and calls, a really good build quality. But both The Wiz Cells 1 year warranty that is in the title and Kyoceras 2 year warranty both do not cover the battery even if the battery you get was faulty. My battery definitely was faulty because I got a replace battery warning about a month before it died. I do not recommend either Kyocera or this claimed reseller The Wiz Cells. I understand that some products may be faulty since everything is built like crap now but then remove the 1 year warranty claim from your title since are not willing to honor it. Amazon should remove your listing for false advertising because no where in the title or description does it say the battery is not part of the warranty. I had to take my Grandma to T-Mobile to replace her 2g Samsung flip phone from 2009 because they were going to shut off her service because it was on 2g. Guess what? The battery still was keeping a charge and would last her a week.

This phone is incredible! It got soaked over night in a pants pocket, then washed the next day. Unbelievably this happened twice in two months. I thought it was dead. I left it in my hot car for two days thinking I’d remember to take it to a repair place. It dried out and started working again like it never happened! Again, this happened twice. I bought an extra one as a backup, but will probably not have to use it. This phone truly lives up to its description! BTW, it has also been dropped numerous times on concrete.

I would caution anyone buying this phone. My husband wanted to get away from smart phones and go back to a flip phone, but the battery on the phone is crap. It worked decent for 2 days and then the battery would not hold a charge. I do not recommend for the price of this phone that you should buy it. Very disappointed.

Have returned the phone. We got it, first of all, metro pcs claimed the phone was still locked! They couldn't add service. Let me say that we have been with Metro PCS for at least 18 years. We never had an issue transferring any phone to them. This phone. Nope! . But then I saw a tab that the phone wanted to update. Clicked update and after that It just gave me a black screen and flashed the phone name, off and on. After a few hours we just shut the phone and returned it. This phone is supposed to be new. I am not so sure. Wen it started up it said Cellular US, or US cellular... whatever, but it was on a network! We just couldn't get our service on it. And forget it, once we hit update... it was just stuck. So, back it goes to the seller! I still don't think it was a new phone. I can't tell you is it would work, but another son of mine has one and it's working fine with Metro pcs and he said it's great. This particular one, just must have been a lemon, or refurbished and not in the best condition.
