These boots are great fitting, they are comfortable, and break in easily. Surprisingly light. Good traction on the slushy icy snow. I've been wearing this brand for about 20 years, and they're good for my arthritic ankle. Lust tighten them with the laces instead of the zipper. It makes a decent splint. I'm very happy with these boots. Even the size 10 1/2 extra wide size. Sometimes wide sizes are not wide enough. These are. Good boots!

Magnum has never disappointed me and these boots lasted a long life. Very comfortable and durable for all the different terrain I'm on. The extra wide fits my feet and don't ever feel stiff. The part between the rubber and leather towards the toes finally gave out and now I had to retire them. Highly recommend these and all the Magnum gear, never had a bad pair.

Solid footwear for law enforcement. I'm a big guy, and this brand/model (6" and 8") will last me about two years if I take care of them appropriately (let them air out, polish the leather, and replace laces once maybe). Consider ordering a half-size down, especially if you have wide feet and are used to most footwear brands not being quite wide enough. I wear a 9 wide in Asics and New Balance, but these boots I wear an 8.5 x-wide, and they are adequately comfortable.

Comfortable fit. Moderately waterproof. Easy to zip on and off, but a bootstrap would really help. The wide fit is WIDE. Leather has held up pretty well.

If you read the reviews, a lot of them are spot on. They are very comfortable right out of the box. The water resistance seems very good. I feel like they are good quality boots. However, if you are looking for breathable boots, these are not them... I have worn the pair I bought for just over a week at the time of review and put 70 hard hours in a wearhouse inside and outside in the rain. I'd day about 10 hours is okay wearing them at a time any longer and your feet sweat to much... The only complaint I have is the velcro on the side where the zipper is is a little small an often comes undone.

I needed a duty boot for light foot patrol, several miles a night. I have purchased and returned probably 6 pairs of tactical boots in 2 months including 5.11s, Danners, and Bates, trying to find a casual tactical pair that works for me. The only other pair that is tolerable for me as a Duty boot is the Bates Paratrooper boot because it is also actually wide. As soon as I opened the box, I could tell that these would be great. They are ACTUALLY a wide fit (take notes, other companies) and are lightweight enough while still being completely supportive. They also have a wide cuff that -- though to be fair, it looks a bit silly if tucking in the pants -- is wide enough so that I don't need blousing straps for the very same pair of pants that used to require tucking in due to wild baginess. I'd estimate that at the price point they cannot be beaten if you need a Wide.

I wanted to like these boots; they are waterproof, have good grip, and are true to size in my case. Otherwise they are terribly designed boots. Everything else about them is crap. You are better off getting something else. The back cut out makes it hard to pull them on, there is nowhere to grip to get leverage, the little tab they have does not cut it. Then the laces they come with are complete trash and when you go to replace them, you find out the placement of the lace holes makes it hard to relace the boots. The gromets for the laces do not go all the way through either. The biggest problem is the way it laces can leave your ankle loose and the back of the boot has a seam that will rub your ankle raw, even after breaking them in. I first thought I just needed to finish breaking them in, but after six plus miles worth of short walks, they still will rub a hole straight through your heel. You can tape over that seam and wear two pairs of socks, but you can still feel that seam back there and quickly becomes a problem. So ultimately not worth it.

They're water resistant not proof. Rain is fine till you splash in puddles. Comfort is not good, very flat and thin. I have checker board on the side of my feet when taken off. Composite toe is flexible and ok for light strikes to it. Extra wide is absolutely perfect for very wide feet even with swollen feet. The heel rubs on the back anytime you bend your toes.
