A little on the sweet side, but overall very good! And that's a lotta protein.
Flavor is surprisingly good as these shakes go, it has some artificial sweetener that is more than needed and I'd rather a few calories (or a version that has that) rather than fake chemical sweetener. But 42G of Protein is a load to start the day with.

Truly the best protein shake I've had!
It is incredibly challenging to find a protein shake that is good but this IS the ONE! I have tried all 3 flavors (Chocolate, Salted Caramel, & Vanilla) and they are all good, but chocolate is by far the best! I stumbled upon this when I was travelling for work and needed a quick way to get protein in. I found it at one of the airport snack shops in the refrigerated section. I bought them on Amazon as soon as I came back from my trip and got my fiancรฉ hooked on them, too. I saw it had 42g worth and did not have high expectations, but I was floored by how good it tasted. It took me back to childhood with that classic chocolate milk taste and smooth texture. The consistency is not thick like most protein shakes which is a plus for me because I can drink it faster. I appreciated that it was lactose free as my digestive system is sensitive to it (I've had 0 issues with the milk in this which really wowed me. Some lactose free items still affect me negatively), low sugar and low carb. The price point (it fluctuates but seems to stay between $40-$45 for 12 15oz cans) seems to be on par with other shakes that have less protein content. The vanilla and salted caramel flavors are good with the salted caramel tasting very close to the vanilla with a salt finish that is nice. My only complaint is with the salted caramel. Every can my fiancรฉ and I have consumed had a white chunk that we assume is the flavor mix that didn't fully dissolve during production. It is a bit off-putting, and we might wait awhile to buy that flavor again.

42G Protein!! With only 1G SUGAR!
At first, I was worried after reading some of the reviews saying the protein drink tasted bad or had something floating inside. Thankfully, that wasn't our experience at all! My husband really likes this protein drink, and it's a great source of protein with 42g per can with only 1g of sugar! (Wish it has 0 sugar) When the package arrived, I washed the cans with soap and water before putting them away. Everything was in good condition, and we're happy with this purchase. I know it's little pricey thought it's good stuff!

Best flavor, lots of protein, easy to drink.
So YUMMY! Chocolate and vanilla are my favorite. Tastes like choc. milk and real vanilla bean flavor. It drinks like water, light and thin. Not like other shakes that are heavier or thicker... and 42 proteins!! Thats terrific. I'm a repeat customer.

Could be less sweet.
Love the texture and how it's not too filling. I like the chocolate taste does not taste like the chemical. A bit pricey but very convenient. However, it is VERY SWEET even though it has 1g of sugar. Whatever sugar substitute you are using, please use LESS. I'd rather it taste more like dark chocolate than have it so sweet. This is what makes me hesitate buying it again. None of the cans were damaged in my shipment. Would be six out of five stars if it wasn't so sweet!

Bottoms up dieting!
Great for those of us seeking a diet appropriate for using Wegovy. Great taste and, used with a piece of fruit (bananas, for example) fully satisfying. A bit pricey but worth it.

Great taste and lactose free
Picked up a can of this because itโs lactose free and over 40 g of protein. Super surprised it actually tastes amazing too, so I ordered a case. Definitely going to be my go-to protein drink moving forward!

Warning: Explosive Contents Within..
Wow quick rant about absolutely abysmal packaging for an otherwise solid product- the nature of the modern stand alone protein shake is such that it more often than not requires a bit of shaking to prevent the actual protein blend from settling at the bottom of the drink. The Slate Ultra Protein Shake is no different, and I even read as much being a potential drawback in a few reviews before I decided to give this brand a try. "Make sure to give it a good shake, as one downside of this drink is that contents can def settle at the bottom if you don't" they said.. Not being one to not get the best bang for my buck, I surely adhered to the advice, as I likely would have anyway, given that most protein shakes found in bottles often require a little bit of shaking to maximize product optimization. Enter the Slate Ultra Protein- for 3 days in a row now that I've reached for a Slate as a midday snack, I have been BLASTED in the chest with projectile chocolate milk upon opening their super awesome cans. I mean, look I get it, it's tough times for planet earth and I want to help protect our environment as much as the next person, BUT, who in god's name here among us has the time or patience to be obliterated by a firehose of chocolate milk every time they want a quick midday protein boost?!? Not I!! So guys, please for the love of Christ, can we reconsider the explosive landmine-can approach to packaging this drink? The beverage itself is tasty and satisfying, no complaints at all. And with the same amount of protein as it's much pricier competitor Fairlife at that. But I gotta say, having to spend an extra 5-15 minutes daily cleaning up another chocolate milk massacre for the ages is soon becoming not worth the savings from buying a competing brand that uses normal, sane, non-dynamite-infused bottles as their packaging. Thank you so much!
