Successfully replaced my Apple Watch 4 Stainless Steel - Battery works fine!
Finally tackled this last night after buying the battery a few months ago. All the tools needed come with this to do the project - EXCEPT the glue to seal the screen back down when finished. So B-7000 glue, small tiny bottle will be needed to totally complete this. It does come with instructions which are ok, but there are better YouTube tutorials that are much more clear to understand. The hardest part was to get the screen open / loosening the glue. Using a heat gun around 30-40 seconds for each side, corner will finally "break" the Apple factory glue seal. This does come with a standard razor blade and it's probably not the best tool in the package top pry the screen open, use extreme caution with this razor also, a tiny piece of this razor did snap off and landed right in front of me, so eye protection would be a good thing here! *There is far better thin flexible tool online to perhaps open this much easier. Again, using YouTube DIY video with detailed steps, I removed the old battery and inserted the new one, this fit perfectly. Use some patience with the very thin battery cable when re-connecting. The watch powered up for the first time in 3 years, I did not seal it back up...I carefully put it on the puck charger and this went well - Charged to 100% and left it off the charger overnight, around 7 hours- testing to see if this held a charge overnight, in the end the battery works. I only lost 4%, which is pretty normal. I'm happy with this! *One thing I did notice, when this new battery is installed. In the settings the Battery does state "Service recommended - Battery capacity is significantly reduced." (no battery health % can be seen). This is normal for a NON-OEM Apple Battery. The watch is not able to read an official Apple battery. So I can't see the actual "health," all I know right now is the battery works, no drastic terrible drain right now.

Lasted only 6 months.
Battery dead after 6 months. The Apple Watch log records a voltage of 2,957 mV. A healthy Apple Watch battery operates around 3.7–3.8V under normal use. At ~2.96V, the battery is at the floor of where the system can even function. It’s essentially empty despite the gauge reading full. The watch log states Capacity: 97 and Partial Charge: 0. Together, this means the watch thinks it’s 97% charged with no partial-charge flag, yet the voltage says otherwise. This is an ex-battery. Not worth it. Try another battery. Best yet: purchase OEM if you can.

If you’re taking an Apple Watch apart, you should replace the battery.
I bought this since I was already replacing the screen/digitizer. Fit perfectly. Adhesive was pre-applied. Good tools.

Better than I thought it would be
This product has like. 3.# somthing so I was a bit leery but so did all of the other sets but this one had the screw driver and dodads for opening the case. The instructions were easy to follow except when it came time to snap the battery cable back into place, it didn’t show that and it is kind of a big step lol. I just turned to trusty YouTube and found someone who had a step by step tutorial and was able to put it back together. Size fits right but I am actually not able to close my watch back up, I think that is OE on my part. I didn’t clean everything like they said to so I don’t know if the stick strip actually works to hold the top on.

Watch a youtube tutorial
I recommend it. If you are just some casual dude you might want to bring this to an expert. I almost broke the screen cable. Anyways you will also want to order B7000 glue and 99% isopropyl alcohol (& use a dropper) to unglue the old battery. My battery life varies by usage but my battery life went from “bad” to “kinda good”. Still worth it! When it’s charging too much at once it gets hot so i use my phone cooling pad.

Be very careful with this operation.
I believe the kit was probably fine, but the instructions were not clear. I was in the middle of the operation and shorted a connection which ruined the watch. My fault for shorting the connector, but better instructions would have made this a safer install. Maybe have a pro do it for $100 instead.

A challenging DIY
I’m pretty good with tech and repairing or upgrading my apple products. Having said that I had difficulty replacing the series 6 watch battery with this kit .. I think the battery is faulty since it won’t go above 1% charge and the watch keeps rebooting… Installation was tricky and challenging. The battery is easy compared to getting the screen adhesive in place and to get the screen to actually adhere to the watch body.

It works ! Watch like new
Lots of reviews out there on this and good videos on utube . I successfully changed my battery myself and it did not leak afterward when I used it in water . I did buy the sealant recommended on a utube video . I did the repairs approx 3-4 months ago . Made my watch like new . The watch was running out of power quickly and shutting down before I did the battery replacement . If u take your time u can do it . I did use a regular blow dryer to loosen the sealant to open the case . I also used an infrared temperature gun to measure the heat to make sure I did over heat the watch to damage it . I also wanted to know the temp because the utube video did mention a temp to hit but I can not recall what that temp was . I recommend this kit and would buy again
