My near 18 daughter managed to accidently break her Sony Headphones.It was her first and most expensive item that she purchased from her own money after she started a part time job a little over a year ago and I could tell she was upset.I could see the problem and even if I did a spot of hot glue it was never going to last. So hopped onto my "browser" to look for a replacement part- honestly not expecting to find one.Few of the usual suspects from China could offer them- fairly inexpensive but they usually take many weeks to come.Ebay sellers were also clearly selling the same import item for quicker delivery but at a premium- similar price to here, but only the part.But I managed to find this "kit" here on Amazon.It was exactly as described- neat little kit with everything you could need- including spare screws and 2 C clips for holding the cup to the headband and the hanging bracket for both sides, a neat little screw driver and very clear and easy to follow instructions- in good English with Pics.Glad I read the whole thing as the one I had looked at on Ebay would have had me unsolder half of the contents of that earpiece to remove the broken piece.All in all probably took 15mins to sort out, Now have an elated daughter and a spare for when she breaks the other side in the "Dad" box/drawer.Thanks again seller, nice kit

This was right at the top end of (probably more than) what I wanted to spend on repairing headphones which could be replaced for less than £70, but there we go.The process is fairly straightforward but the step where you remove the speaker from the shell is very daunting and great care is required not to damage the very delicate internal wiring. Take your time and be gentle and it will be fine, but be very wary from this point until the speaker is back in place.Once installed it works perfectly. A little stiffer than the original but not such that it makes any difference.

was gutted when my headphones broke , decided to buy a replacement instead of repurchasing and honestly couldn’t be happier . Took around 10 minutes and they feel and look brand new . Great product thank you !!

Firstly, i want to say that the swivel/hinge is excellent quality, and the included tools are some of the best i've used. Installation was simple and easy, i had an ear done in ~30 minutes.I do have two small notes, though. The hinge peices themselves are directional, but not marked left/right. I would recommend small L R stickers on the respective part.Alongside this, the texture of the replacement part doesn't match the rest of the earcup. This is only a cosmetic difference, and even then is barely noticeable, but i feel is worth noting.

I wish Sony did not have this product flaw, but definitely a perfect way of solving a broken hinge problem on a specific brand of headphones. New life repair to the headphones was pricy, but much cheaper than buying new pair.
