Do you need oil pilot needle and are 38mm looking enough to lift cheeks?

No pilot needle needed. Yes the thread alone gives amazing lift.

Did you want to know if the product actually worked ? Or how to use them ? Well I guess I will answer both lol. They do work and it’s pretty simple to use. There are plenary of tutorials on YouTube that will show you how to use them. I did the threads to my own farce and had really good results.

Are these too dark blue to use under eyes where skin is thin?

The threads are light in color clear to be exact. I personally wouldn't use screw threads under the eye because it is a sensitive area. Plain mono threads will lay smoothly. screw thread need to be unscrewed twisted a little which could cause a pucker especially underneath the eye. This is what I do for myself. These threads are awesome for structure and volume and the supply will last for quite some time.
