Seiko builds the best watches and I wear only Seiko watches so it was only right that I buy one of their clocks to keep time at my house. It is very accurate I've set it to atomic time and a week later it is still accurate to the very second of course it is quartz. it makes no noise because it sweeps like a mechanical watch even though it takes a double A battery. The lume is seiko's lumabrite which is the best in the industry it catches a little bit of sun in the day but glows at night if you put this in a bedroom it will glow all night and you'll be able to read it in the dark it is phenomenal I love Seiko!

It looks pretty great! The quality isn't even close to a "real" Seiko, but that's alright, it shouldn't be subjected to extreme desk-diving as one on the wrist could endure. The crystal is plastic, possibly acrylic, but be careful not to scratch it, especially during cleaning. The sword shaped hands are aesthetically my favorite, and the only thing this is missing is the day/date wheel. The "superlumnova" is not as good as the real dive-watches. The glow doesn't last nearly as long, as it quickly fades, and it's also not as bright, but the application is amazingly even and precise. This dial looks amazing, even close up! The color of the lume on the hands doesn't match the indices, but it's a small qualm. The silent sweeping second hand moves like an automatic watch and is silent. There is a keyed slot on the back for this to hand from a nail, like most wall-clocks this size, same sort of time-setting wheel back there as well, along with that exposed AA battery. I love it. I also have the smaller desktop version, which doesn't look as good as this, but was also one-third the price, also worth it.
