Rain Gauge Outdoor, 5" Rain Gauge with Stainless Steel Rack Holder

Great gage, I can see the #’s from 20’ away. Easy to install and looks very nice and durable. Should last for years!

Love this rain guage Easy to read I have 5 guages on the farm spread out in various places, seems more accurate than typical glass rain guage as the glass one always shows way less rain Comes with a SS mount Buy yes

This rain gauge is awesome! Well made. Easy to install. The water chamber is large with easy to read scale. It’s incredibly simple to life to chamber out of the holder and empty the water.

This is a nice, sturdy, and easy to read and install rain gauge. The only thing that I do not like is that the measurement indicators are at .125 inch intervals instead of 1/10th inch intervals. This makes it difficult for me to determine how much rain was actually received. This is the first rain gauge that I have had that is not calibrated in 1/10th inch intervals, which is what I prefer.

Purchased this in the fall of ‘24. My Dad was always fascinated by the weather. He had rain gauges as many of his older neighbors did. Dark humored as Dad could be he’d occasionally add or subtract water to a neighbor’s gauge then later get into conversations with them. Dad was amused by the neighbor’s befuddlement over measuring 4” of rain while the local weatherman would report only 1/3”…even more fun that Dad would show his said 1/3". Sorry to go off topic but if you want a fun alternative use of your gauge that’ll give you & your neighbors something to discuss, Dad says “you’re welcome.” Anyway now I’ve reached an age where I am more interested in the weather especially now that my lawn is drying up most years by July so a rain gauge purchase was inevitable. Easy to set up/install & easy to use. It’s a rain gauge so it’s not rocket science-the numbers & division markings are very clear. I couldn’t be happier with this rain gauge until our temperatures started dropping into the teens & 20s. I go to empty the gauge out of habit then realize it’s got an inch of ice. The ice wouldn’t fall out when I turned it over so I figured no big deal, I’ll let it thaw in the kitchen sink. As I came in I showed the ice filled gauge to my wife only to see the bottom was cracked. Ran in to check if this was still returnable to learn I’m 5 weeks past the return window. Worst of all this gauge has “freeze proof” in its main title. This was otherwise a perfect product but not being freeze proof renders it useless. So friends you’ve been warned. I hate to give a low rating but this thing failed. I’ll try to contact the manufacturer to see if they’ll do anything. If they do, I’ll happily pass along what happens. ***final update (March '25) the company was UNRESPONSIVE to my messages...they don't care.

Installation simple and very easy to read. Liked the price

Very Nice We Love It

Bought this for my elderly father, so he can see it from his recliner. It's glass, big letters/easy to read. He says it's even better that he doesn't have to remove it from the fence to empty, it just slides out of the holder. The only thing he is concerned about is hail, since' it's glass. Time will tell.

Large numbers make it easy to read and it is nice having the choice , of either mounting it on a pole , or putting in the ground

Sturdy, very easy to read . Easily installed.

Mounted on fence ok. Could also be installed on the ground.

I am very happy with my purchase of the rain gauge. I mounted it on the aluminum deck railing with double sided alien tape. The scale is very easy to read from the patio doors. We accumulated so much rain the first week in Alberta the level went over the seven inch increment.

Not accurate at all! This rain gauge showed 3" when my old one showed 2" (the old one is proofed to be accurate)
