Reese has been around a long time, been a reputable business that makes good products. I have owned several variation of their hitches, balls, receivers. So I didn't hesitate on this. I'll admit that I with this lighter version mainly because I needed next day delivery and the other was not. But, this fit perfect, no issues, serves its purpose and is a good deterrent. Packaged great, 30 second install, great price, can't complain at all.

The trailer lock itself is super easy to install and remove in minutes with the key. This was used to tow a 24' trailer from Texas to Florida and let me tell you that there were not issues at all. Yes, you could spend the money and purchase an individual lock, pin and such. But if you're like me that doesn't like to have several keys to open different things. THIS is the way to go! The ball lock works really well. When squared up, it slides in nice and easy. The bright yellow paint makes it easier to see at night. Trailer hitches and shins don't get along very well. The pin lock has a nice weather proof cap that snugs on really well. I the few years I've had it, I've never had it fall of, like other ones I've had. It's got a bit of weight to it, sco it seems to be well made. The only beef I have is that the lock is a bit of a PITA to lock. It often take more effort than it should to close the latch. It may well be that I got a one-off.

This fit exactly for my trailer hitch. Very easy to use and attach to three hitch. It is heavy duty and will protect my investment.

Easy to adjust and install.

I bought three of them. They are a shotty deterrent at best. The ball is riveted on. The lock is held in with a small brass pin. The locking bar is stamped unhardened metal. The big U has horrible tolerance and lots of play. These are lower quality than most toys. I literally shimmed one with a toothpick.
