Reate Knives REAHC Horizon C Folding Knife

This is a very good knife.The action is very impressive- it takes almost no effort to deploy the blade. It jumps open with authority and there’s no initial detent stick.There is also not a hint of lock stick so it takes no effort to close the knife with one hand.The blade is centered and there’s no blade play.Overall this knife has a solid feel of quality. It’s perhaps a little on the large side if you are planning to use it as an everyday carry knife but the larger size has its obvious benefits.The handle is smooth but not slick so I’m happy with the grip it provides. I can see that the metal scales could be prone to scratching but it hasn’t happened yet.I wish that the lanyard hole was positioned a bit lower but that’s getting really picky.To sum it up - the Horizon is a very good knife equal or better than Zero Tolerance, Emerson, or any of the other well known USA made high end production knives I own.
