I checked out local pool retail stores and for the exact item, they (retail stores) wanted over $100 more per ladder. I had to change out both my ladders because they were rusting (previous owners had converted pool to salt water) and I needed to take the contaminated ones out to balance the water Ph, etc. Anyway, I started searching online and found these and I can't believe how much retail stores increase their prices, what a rip-off and how greedy can you get? They work perfectly. The only issue on may have with the set (if they're a stickler for esthetics) is the hardware covers are made of white plastic instead of stainless steel. If you still have your old ladder's covers you may want to use C.L.R. on them to get rid of the rust and polish them up. Other than that, this is truly a great buy.

On my first swim in our new pool (newly acquired, the pool existed in the home we purchased) I swam over and stepped on the ladder (the one replaced by this purchase) and on the top step snapped, then the second, and my inaugural swim ended with a cut foot and broken ladder. I checked prices at my local pool supply and found this to be a steal (with Amazon Prime and no sales tax, it was half the price of local options.) It installed easily, very little difficulty putting it together. We have a gunite, in-ground pool with a cement coping, bluestone decking and blue-and-white tile surround. Not supper fancy, but not plastic either. This ladder looks great and the gleaming white steps really add newness to everything. For such little money, it was a great transformation. If your ladder is more than a couple of years old, pull it out and replace with this. You will be glad you did.

Our old ladder stairs were rusted and throwing off our chemical balance in our pool so we needed a new ladder. It was a little difficult to tell if this one was going to fit, because the product dimensions do not tell you what they are measuring. I decided to order and try it out, I knew I could send it back if needed. It arrived in pieces, but they were very easy to assemble and it fit the old drilled holes in the concrete perfect. The white stairs look great, but the white plastic caps that go over the holes in the concrete did look a bit cheap. We decided to use the old stainless steel ones instead, so you might not want to toss those! It is actually a heavier weight steel than the previous ladder and feels much more sturdy when using them to climb out of the pool.

The ladder seems fine, but I was replacing an older model and never saw any reference to the size. My old one was wider. had to drill out the old and cement the hole, and drill a new anchor hole. just something to think about if replacing an older ladder.

This is a low end product. The box was flimsy so the stainless steel tubes arrived with slight dents, the kind you only see once you have assembled it and installed it and the chrome finish shows mini-dimples. Bad job packaging for sure. The ladder is not a long as other 3-step ladders, so it is a larger step up out of the water to get your first foot onto the lowest rung. You get what you pay for. This certainly was cheap enough and appears to be sturdy enough after assembly. I personally wish I'd bought a better one and paid more for something of better quality.

As always, Quick shipping from Amazon. So easy to put together, they don't send directions. Took about 15 minutes with a single 1/2 " wench. The caps are white vinyl instead on SS. They look great and match the steps. You can order SS for a few dollars, but I am going to give these a try. I have an older pool and they fitted in with mounting holes perfect. When you do assemble, watch the bolts heads. They are made to seat into the handrail, but they can get a little twisted when tighten, so when he gets snug, back off the nuts and them tighten a gain. It they are seated correctly, it will not be a safety issue with possible scrapping hazard. Compared the cost with local pool supply store and they were double, plus sales taxes.

It was a great product my kids and family love it.. Heavy duty stairs and doesnt damage liner... Fit perfect onto the previous hole of previous latter.. Very easy to assemble

We needed to replace our old broken pool stairs. Never thought to check Amazon so just left the pool without a ladder for years. Decided to replace it when we redid the landscaping and decided to check Amazon and there it was. A good price. Came as advertised and done deal. We did invest in different plates for the deck attachment as our deck was uneven and the ones that came with the stairs while fine even though plastic would not lay flat. Not the products problem. We would have left them if could have.

Perfect and a lot cheaper than buying from pool companies direct. Same product as well. Make sure to get measurement from insert to insert on deck. My last one lasted 25 yrs . This should do the same looks the same . Easy to assemble.
