Does exactly what the product descriptions say. Only thing that took some getting used to was avoiding accidentally touching the fingerprint scanner which is easily overcome by using any compatible case.

I am a bit of an Android phone nerd. I have a history of rooting and modding so it was with mixed feelings that I bought this unhackable device. Turns out my worries were completely unnecessary.The screen is excellent and best of all, it does not have a notch... which is the worst idea in phones...right behind permanent batteries.I am pretty happy with the software, which supports themes to remove some of the gawdiness that is common on LG devices. The camera is decent, though I am not a photog. Fingerprint reader on the rear is the perfect place for it, though combining it with the power button was a bad idea that LG rectified in the V40. The reader is so fast to respond, that it is common for me to push the power button to turn off the phone, only to have it immediately wake and unlock because I left my finger on the sensor for too long.The sound volume is too quiet; I often cannot hear the audio in videos without putting the speaker to my ear. I also miss calls and notifications for the same reason. The battery life is amazing; I quite normally do not get below 80% in a normal day's use. The performance of the processor is incredible; this thing is extremely responsive.Overall I am happy with this phone and I have not found a compelling reason to modify it.

The phone is good, but camera needs the newest update to fix the quality, problem this is an ATT model! which ATT does not right now give any update or care for this phone even LG has passed them 4 security patches and software improvement.The bad, a lot.The phone itself is nice and good value for the spec and feature. The power button on the fingerprint sensor (crazy 99% perfect detects) is weird to use, but you can use nock to unlock and lock the phone.Software is not bad lot better than my old two year phone when it was top of the line. I do feel coming from ATT and LG this phone will mostly might take another year before it will get Android Pie, even LG has state it will come out end of March 2019.Camera at low light is poor with auto setting. Video option is worse than my two year old phone. YES!! coming from LG and a V series. So shock it doesn't have 4k 60fps option nor format for H.265. My two year old phone have 4k30fps and H.265 format without limit. Now I know some state they have 4k60fps only if you have the new updated software, but is limited to 6min recording... which suck! You also can't have HDR recording in 4k??? why?? LG .The good.Overall the good of the phone is if you have the unlock model from Amazon, OEM, and Project Fi. You might get better update and fix. One of the few phone that still have headphone jack and quality DAC, plus micro SD card option. It has last year top end CPU for half the price of the newest CPU of this year which cost almost 1k.If you're into gaming mode, this phone have option on the fly to change the resolution or lower it to improve your performance and frame rate for games! It will detect the app if it's a game and it will save the setting on the one you want. Very cool! feeling almost like a PC now.Screen HDR10, very nice, OLED ghosting is low, but still can be notice a little. Just remember if you record video on HDR you need a display that can do HDR10 to really have the correct color, cause HDR10 is Rec.2020(movie color format) and is a little green if you don't have the right display to show it. This can sometime also for photos.

I have been using it for half a month, and overall it is very good! Now that the price has dropped, I am laughing now.
