Q: Does this come with the travel mug as pictured?

It does not come with either a travel mug or a mannequin's right hand to hold it.

Q: what makes this "ultra"?

I don't actually see where it says "ultra," but there are a few minor differences between the 48464 and the 48465. The Hamilton Beach 48465 has more stainless steel parts and fewer plastic components, making it sleeker and sturdier. It also has iced coffee and automatic morning brewing features in addition to all of the 48464’s already existing programmable settings. Other than that, the two models are virtually identical.

Q: will it reheat old coffee?

Actually it DOES reheat old coffee. You just press and hold the on/off switch for about 3 sec until it clicks and the light pops on😜

Q: Can you set an alarm for the coffee maker to begin brewing automatically in the morning?

Yes. You can program it to start brewing automatically. Don’t worry about the water leak the other customer mentioned. This happens when the reservoir isn’t properly seated and will happen regardless of whether you’re using the timer or not. It’s happened to me a couple of times in the nine years I’ve been using it, and it’s not a big deal. I’ve had other coffee makers leak hot coffee on the counter, so cold water isn’t so bad.
