OXO Salad Spinner, 1 EA

Love this salad spinner! I already had one but I did not REALIZE that all I had to do, was push the side lock button inward to lock or outward to unlock inableing operation and ready for spin mode!! Me not knowing this little tid bit of information (I ended up breaking it trying to force the center push button up)! Well, I was like TARZAN OPENING A COCONUT BARE HANDEDLY! I RIPED THAT CENTER BUTTON THAT MAKES IT SPIN RIGHT OFF THE SPINNER!!! I know what your thinking...dahhh LADY ("why didn't you just read the dam directions")? Well, let me explain When I bought the first salad spinner after opening the box and placing the box on the floor, I had to walk outside to see what all the ruckus was in my driveway with my kids! Unbenounced to me, while I was on my side porch checking the kids...my dog Pickles, had taken the papers out of the box and hid them in his cage for a midnight snack I guess. So when I got back into the kitchen to see how this spinner operates... I said to myself... thats strange 🤔 There's no directions in this box to explain how to use this spinner? THE REST IS HISTORY! YES, I WAS DETERMINED TO GET THIS THING TO SPIN!!! So as I found myself with the center push button in one hand and the locking mechanism button, the spring, the cup shaped piece that was inside the spinner, and shattered pieces all over my kitchen, I thought to myself...There has to be an easier way to open this spinner cover without all these pieces all over my kitchen. At this point I gave up!!! Until........two days later; I was cleaning the pillows in my dogs cage...Thats when I found the directions for the salad spinner...a little chewed up but still legible enough to read. TODAY MY DOG IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE KITCHEN WHEN I RECEIVE PACKAGES!!!! I'M SHARING THIS EXPERIENCE WITH EVERYONE TO INFORM YOU THAT THIS SALAD SPINNER CAN BE BROKEN WHEN THERE ARE NO DIRECTIONS IN THE DAME BOX DUE TO YOUR LITTLE FUR BABY!! 🐾❗ WE NEVER DID HAVE SALAD THAT NIGHT FOR DINNER! AND WHEN I TOLD MY HUSBOND I ORDERED ANOTHER SALAD SPINNER "HE STRIGHT OUT TOLD ME ... HONEY, ILL MAKE THE SALAD FROM NOW ON" AND I PROMISE... I'll NEVER UPSET YOU AGAIN 💪 I PROMISE!!!! 😉

I bought this one as a gift that has not been given yet, but I have had one in the past and loved it. Works fantastically. Really nice for storing salad in the fridge once made, too.

I replaced an earlier model of this spinner also by OXO. If you make salads, rinsing and spinning any greens is the key to a fresh salad that will last. The interior basket is removable and like a plastic colander which could also be used to rinse fruit and vegetables without spinning. Easy to use and easy to clean. If you have never used this product, try it, you will be hooked.

My old spinner needed to have the basket put in perfect, then you had to turn the lid a certain way then the a string to pull and I had to hold the bowl while it “spun” or it would spin away. OXO -~No basket or lid to align no string to pull and no holding bowl with this one. I push the plunger several times and it spins and I’m not holding it because it has gripper feet-hasn’t spun away yet. It’s durable, well made , easier to use. OXO drys my lettuce or what puts in there DRIER and my old spinner. Actually, this spinner saves me time and frustration while preparing meals. Well designed. Thank you OXO

I purchase a lot of ATK recommendations and this was one of them. I'm getting into eating salads and don't trust the "ready to eat" label so the spinner is the perfect tool for the job. The capacity is excellent and the plunger, etc. move very efficiently. My greens are now excellent!

I bought a previous iteration of this product a number of years ago (at least 15) and used it at least 4 times a week, every week. It lasted until I broke it a couple weeks ago trying to clean the filter area. This one is so much easier to operate, as in spin, and the basket is bigger. The whole thing is much sturdier than my original and, yes, I can clean the filter area without breaking it.

Works great. Worth the money.

I'm a big OXO fan. I have many of their kitchen items. And I have been very pleased with them. This salad spinner is no different. I was tired of hand washing and drying my greens. Decided to break down and get a salad spinner. This product is easy to use and does exactly what I expected it to do. Dry off those greens!! I highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a good salad spinner. Nice capacity, too.

Ero dubbioso se comprare questa centrifuga per insalata visto il suo prezzo molto alto, ma devo dire che si tratta di un prodotto veramente di qualità, nettamente superiore alla media delle centrifughe in commercio. Materiali robusti (la plastica del contenitore sembra quasi vetro), funzionalità impeccabile, grandissima facilità di utilizzo. Da la sensazione che durerà a lungo nel tempo.

Lo compré pensando que por el precio que tenía era el pequeño, pero cuando me llegó a casa vi que era el grande... y es realmente grande. Los materiales son muy buenos, con muy buen acabado y muy robusto, tanto el bol, como la cesta y la tapa. De hecho, la solidez de la cesta me ha llamado mucho la atención, normalmente suelen ser más... "fragiles". Esta da sensación de muy buena calidad. El mecanismo de centrifugado en muy cómodo y enseguida coge mucha velocidad, dejando las hojas de lechuga, o lo que hayas metido muy escurrido Lo que no sé es que tal "envejecerá" el mecanismo de frenado. El tiempo lo dirá. Una de las cosas que más me gustan de este modelo de OXO en concreto es la separación que hay entre la cesta y la parte inferior del bol. En otro productos hay muy poca separación y si no haces un fuerte escurrido previo, el agua sobreante llega a las hojas y tienes que vaciar y volver a centrifugar. En este eso no ocurre. Se friega bien y para poder almacenarlo comodamente, el pulsador se puede bloquear para que quede abajo. Compra recomendable, aunque en mi caso preferiria el tamaño pequeño sólo por comodidad.

Melhor seca salada q eu já tive. O produto é mais caro mas a qualidade do material é diferenciada e funciona muito bem! Consigo secar as folhas sem esforço!
