Q: Would it be good for soaking up strong sweat?

I wouldn't recommend it personally. I wanted it for removing light makeup, but it was very low quality, full of scratchy bits, and not soft or absorbent at all. I still have mine, virtually untouched. That said, if you're not using it on your face, it might not be so bad. As far as I recall, it was cheap, so all I can suggest is get some and try it. 'Soaking up strong sweat' is quite vague - you might be better off with something other than cotton wool anyway. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

It’s not a duvet!! It’s medical cotton wool, does it matter where it’s from?

Q: how long is the roll?

The roll supplied to me is about 2 metres long, 2 cm thick and 30 cm wide when fully unwound. The cotton wool is highly water-absorbent and has the feel, appearance and density of the natural material. It is free from synthetics such as polyester (which is present in many so-called "cotton wool" grades.
