Zico coconut water is the best tasting,most nutritious, and least processed coconut water you can get! It is pink in variations of color intensity because it is made from a certain type of coconuts, young "Nam Hom" coconuts which are considered the royalty of all coconuts and the best available on earth, what Filet Mignon is to steak the Nam Hom is to coconuts! Both the flesh and water of this coconuts is often pink and this particular variety of coconut also has the highest concentration of essential electrolytes and other minerals and vitamins in it. It is more hydrating than water because the electrolytes allow your muscles to absorb the water more readily and efficiently! It's like natures Gatorade! It is naturally lightly sweet and very refreshing. This water is made by using mainly young Nam Hom coconuts from a small region in Thailand (which is the only place they grow) and blending there water with the water from mature premium coconuts of other Asian varieties. Other brands such as Harmless Harvest are also known for sometimes being pink due to them using some Nam Hom coconuts in there blend! This is by far the superior brand of coconut water in taste, freshness, nutrition and value in my opinion. I drink it every day and do not even drink plain water. You have only to compare the labels of this brand against others to see the difference in the amount of electrolytes provided and if you read the label and see it is a product of Thailand which is the only place on earth the Nam Hom coconut grows you will understand why it is varying shades of pink and why that is a very good thing! This is my first time ordering it from Amazon and I am pleased with the delivery as well,my order came in about 2 days and arrived in perfect condition sealed in the factory boxes as it should have. I love it because it doesn’t have any extra sugar on a diabetic, and it taste organic. So yes, I would recommend it to anybody with dietary needs. Or that just wanted something healthy to add in their lives.

I recently switched to coconut water from gatorade / gatorade zero to reduce my overall sodium intake while maintaining an option with electrolytes. It is taking some time to get used to the flavor and consistency. I keep mine in the refrigerator, as it tastes significantly better cold. I also have to add flavoring to the water - lime or citrus - which helps. I do think it has made a difference over the past few weeks. I feel hydrated, the size of the container is just right - as long as the drink stays cold, I can handle it.
