I unwrapped it and left it for the recommended 24 hours for it to settle. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there was no odour from the mattress and after 24 hours it was put to use. I am amazed by the comfort that this mattress delivers for the price point. It is firm enough to offer support but not so firm that it feels hard. I honestly don't think I have slept so well in at least a decade or more. I would have no hesitation in recommending this brand and suggest that if you were in the market for a new mattress, this particular item should feature towards the top of your list. Difficult to find a mattress for both me and my partner as I prefer softer and he prefers firmer as he gets back ache on soft mattresses. 💚 Good size 💚 Easy unpacking, instruction and warning booklet alongside a safe blade to use to open it 💚 Fits bed frame 💚 Feels good quality 💚 Nice and springy and bouncy 💚 Nice depth 💚 My partner seems to find it really comfy 💚 New mattress smell for a little while that wasn't offensive 💛 I expected the foam layer to be more substantial, it's not the most comfortable for me. It does feel a little too hard. It's mor comfortable lying on my back. But that's not my preferred position. 💛 Feels to me like one of the firmer hotel beds like from a Travelodge or something. (My partner sees this as a positive) ♥️ I was lying on my side as normal and I was woken in the middle of the night with my one leg completely numb and I couldn't stand on it when I tried to revivie it. The circulation had been cut off just by lying in my normal sleeping position. ♥️ I also woke up with a small amount of lower back pain. It's only the first night so I'll see how I go with it and if things improve after the suggested 72hrs *Update about 1-2 months on: Upped to 4 stars from 3. I've had no further dead-legs. I definitely find it more comfortable than I did at the start, probably because I was used to softer. I would still prefer a lovely soft memory foam but I don't have any issues sleeping on this now.

I’ve had this mattress for about 2 weeks now, my main concern were whether it was actually firm and it is as firm as it claims. The mattress arrived the very next morning after ordering. I was very impressed by the delivery. I waited longer than 72 hours for it to take its shape again (although it expanded fairly quickly) I still decided to follow the manufacturers instructions. I bought the small double for a single person. I SO wanted it to be a good mattress as I did hours of research beforehand. First Night’s sleep went well, but I started feeling the springs. I became ill and had to stay in bed for a couple of days. This is where things became really uncomfortable. The layer between the springs and top layer might be perfect if you are featherweight or for a child. Definitely not suitable for adults over 75kg. The mattress was surprisingly light. I had a Sealy before which weighed a LOT. This was a huge benefit to have a lighter mattress. One design flaw is the base. It does not have any grip on the base and with the mattress being so light, it moves around the base of the bed constantly - if you move a lot whilst sleeping. Adding silicone grippers will help. The mattress is the perfect firmness and perfect in every way, apart from top layer. All in all, I would suggest a topper for this mattress. It will make the perfect combination for anyone with chronic pain or plus size. Would I recommend it - for a child’s bed, yes, definitely. For an adult - definitely, but only with a memory foam topper, it will be suitable for those of us with chronic pain and fatigue. Spending many more hours in bed than the average person.
