Not entirely sure how it is supposed to sit on the hand/wrist but I've got the smallest size & it stills is gaping round the wrist, and when I do the straps up it feels all kinds of wrong positioned on my hand, I am not sure how it is supposed to support the hand/wrist like a carpal tunnel splint given where the metal sits on the hand, & I'm still able to move my thumb even with everything done up tight? Maybe my wrist is smaller than the smallest? (I did measure before purchasing) The quality of the splint feels very good, & it does feel very well made, instructions are clear but maybe it's not for me. I need something that is the same as a carpal tunnel brace so the length it goes down the forearm past the wrist, but with the added thumb support & it's a lot harder to find! Most of the thumb supports are just like this a little bit round the wrist. 🤔

I suffer from osteoarthritis in my thumb joint. Sometimes it is fine and I can function without any support. Sometimes I just need a thumb splint, but at its worst the pain travels down to my wrist and it aches constantly and limits what I can do. This support is excellent. I got the small/medium size, looking at the information on the size chart, and it fits perfectly. There is plenty of support down the thumb, and the area around the thumb joint can be pulled tight using the strap and the velcro fastening. This can easily be done one handed. Also there is an adjusting strap around the end of the thumb, so you can actually adjust the fit of the support to suit your own needs. The support itself is padded and also breathable, and extremely comfortable to wear. I am typing this review with the support on my right hand and it doesn't restrict me at all, which is really important - I need to be able to work with a support on. It is also light enough to be able to sleep in it. It is hand washable too - very important! I think it is very good value at the current price of £19.99.

J’ai acheté cette orthèse car je souffre d’une tendinite de De Quervain à la main droite. J’en avais déjà une pour le pouce uniquement, mais il me fallait cette fois un modèle qui maintienne aussi le poignet. Franchement, je suis très satisfaite : le maintien est vraiment bon, à la fois au poignet et au pouce, et il est facile à régler. Mon poignet est bien soulagé dès la première utilisation. À voir sur la durée pour la qualité, mais pour l’instant, c’est un avis « à chaud » très positif. Si jamais ça se dégrade, je viendrai mettre à jour mon commentaire.

I have bought five different types of braces for my de Quervains Tenosynovitis and multiple longitudinal tears in both the tendons leading from my thumb to my wrist, in both hands. None of them have been worth a hoot. This one however, is THE one and I'm buying one for the right side. The other ones didn't provide enough mobilization of my thumb and covered the majority of my palm. This one barely covers my palm, which keeps things cleaner and more sanitary. It has two metal supports along side the thumb that keeps it from moving. This allows me to use my hand without hurting or damaging my wrist. I also love the material. It's more like a sports type of fabric. It's not thick and doesn't hold moisture in, like the others. The others lead to sweaty palms and they need to be washed daily to prevent smell. This one just needs wiped off or rinsed and it drys quickly. The pull tab makes it simple to take on and off, another plus!! I also like the rubber piece on the palm area. Another big plus for me is that I am very tiny. I have very small wrists and it's challenging to find the correct fit, even when ordering a small. All of the other ones left a gap that allowed my thumb to move. They also went too far up my forearm. This one fits perfectly on my tiny wrists and hands. It hits just enough below the wrist to keep it immobile. It's very comfortable to wear. All of this has lead to less pain and more hand mobility. So I'm giving this one a five star rating!!! They have a repeat customer now, for all of my bracing needs!!

Ich habe so viele durchprobiert, im Sanitätshaus, von Amazon... Sie waren alle für mein Problem nicht brauchbar (Daumengelenke UND Gelenkspalt am Handgelenk entzündet und schmerzhaft). Die meisten Schienen behandeln nur eines der beiden Probleme, entweder Ruhigstellung des Daumens oder Ruhigstellung des Handgelenks. Die Rhizo Ringe und Daumenschienen enden normalerweise so blöd, dass sie genau im Gelenkspalt anschlagen und die Reizung verstärken. Die Handgelenksbandagen haben keinerlei Einfluss auf den Daumen. Diese ist die einzige, die beides schafft und perfekt sitzt. Und die kostet nur einen Bruchteil von der im Sanitätshaus. Ich kann sie aber nicht den ganzen Tag am Stück tragen, sondern muss sie zwischendurch mal ablegen. Aber insgesamt super. Kann damit auch Autofahren und sie hilft wirklich, dass die Schmerzen nicht reinfahren bei einer schnellen Lenkbewegung oder Kurbeln beim Einparken.
