Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse woo each other into a series of unpredictable predicaments in this animated tribute to the celebrated couple. Donald and Daisy and Pluto and Fifi also get romantic.

My 3 Year Old Loves This Movie
We first rented this from the video store. I didn't know if my daughter would even sit to watch it - since she loves Minnie Mouse (and I DIDN'T see Minnie Mouse anywhere on the cover...)She watched this movie over and over - I watched little bits at a time and thought it was pretty cute. Well, upon taking it back to the video store to turn in - she cried... and cried... so I promised her we would get it again. I purchased it for her birthday and here I finally sat down to watch the entire video with her and in one of the skits - Mickey is expected to 'capture' the Mean Giant... I was alittle ASTONISHED to find Mickey Mouse being 'somewhat' violent to the Giant - but I guess in this day and age - it's OK......(?) Also, one other part that I had to EXPLAIN was what the Giant was doing when he rolled up some straw (like a cigarette), lit it and began to smoke it. I know, I know - it's pretty basic but I guess because there are no cigarette ads on tv anymore - I just didn't think I would have this conversation with her yet, (at 3!)It's a good movie - but just a word of warning - you may be explaining some things to your kids after they see it.Have a GREAT day!Carol

Three heart-tugging classic toons! Perfect for the hardcore Disney VHS collector or Valentine's Day
This is one of three "Valentine's-themed" cartoon VHS tapes Disney released. The first one was 'Love Tales', released on January 13, 1995, and then came these other two (this and 'Sweetheart Stories') in early 1996. We used to own this VHS and watched it tons as a kid, but like a lot of my old Disney tapes, I lost and mishandled it, until I got it back in the collection last year! The VHS has three cartoons: "Brave Little Tailor" (1938), "Society Dog Show" (1939), and "Donald's Double Trouble" (1946). All are great, though I'd say my favorite is Donald's Double Trouble, where Donald encounters an imposter-lookalike, and Daisy later mistakens the imposter for Donald. And if that's not enough, most copies have the Timon and Pumbaa music video "Stand by Me" during the opening previews, which for Lion King fans makes this worth the own. Now, I agree with another reviewer below that the scene where the Giant smokes in Brave Little Tailor may not be suitable for younger audiences today in the post-2000 years, but the remaining two cartoons are less offensive. The selection of cartoons and the music video make 'Mickey Loves Minnie' worth having in your Disney collection. (Attached in the photo is my personal VHS copy.)
