Pleasantly Surprised - great purchase!
This is the 2nd TV I’ve bought through Amazon, this one being a Toshiba. Aside from these 2 all of the other TVs I’ve purchased over the past 17 years or so have been Samsung. I decided to try this Toshiba for a number of reasons, one obviously being a great sales price during Prime Day. But also based on previous experiences I’ve had with other type of Toshiba products over the years which have been nothing but positive. As I researched this TV, I did see some mixed reviews regarding signal loss and such but again, based on sales price and Toshiba’s reputation, I took a chance. Thus far both my wife and I are extremely pleased with this purchase. The setup was super easy, the picture quality and sound are outstanding and ask nothing of the other Samsung TVs we have in the house which we bought at much higher price points. I have not experienced any signal cutout or blank screen as some of the reviews noted. Also one thing that we have noticed and we’re very happy about is the speed in switching or loading apps. Don’t get me wrong, this is no Hot Rod but it’s definitely faster than all of our Samsungs which was a nice unexpected perk. I love Samsung and I’m sure I will purchase their TVs again in the future but I am impressed with this Toshiba TV’s performance and thus will not hesitate to purchase again in the future. The only drawback we feel is that it is a bit on the heavy side, much more than our 65”…. but it is a larger TV.Oh almost forgot, delivery was through Best Buy which was an easy process AND they brought it in all the way to where I wanted to set it up…. HUGE PLUS!!

Approved!
while I'm not a TV expert and haven't compared this TV next to an OLED, for what its worth, quality has been great. Everyone at home loved it, streaming favorite series to rewatching favorite movies over again. Initial setup scared me as initial firmware update took much longer than expected, and no update progress was available once download was completed. Only thing that worked was the power button on the remote, restarted the TV, which took me back to update again, this time in less than 10 minutes update was done.Image processing does stay off after turning the TV off or unplugging it, I suppose the latest fw fixed this.Owning a 50" 4-Series FireTV prior to this made app setup fairly quick, logged in to account, all profiles, settings and apps were ready.Internal subwoofer does add a bit of bass but nothing serious, it's just a third speaker, so keep your expectations low. I already had an LG sound bar, so that is covered.Otherwise, sound clarity from TVs internal speakers is great. So good that I turned down all speakers on the soundbar and basically using it as the subwoofers transmitter. Optical output and TV speakers do work at the same time allowing this setup, haven't tried this with eARC.Another minor issue, which might just need a software update is the constant backlight changes while using youtube app. No video has to be playing, as long as YT app is running backlight level changes randomly when less than 4K content is playing.

Slow UI
It's a functional cheap 4k TV, but I don't think I'll buy Toshiba again. The Amazon Fire UI is too slow. Sometimes it crashes.

This is the one to buy for the home
Ok it has only been a few days but this one is well the best I have seen over all in a very long line of testing tvs the sound is great from cable , antenna , and streaming with no huge noise jump when a commercial comes on . the picture is sharp and clear you can see items in the dark areas where others show a grey or black blur . it looks good on video games tho I do mot play anything better then switch and Xbox on it both look great and good motion where others drop off. I have the 65" and its a keeper now for the best the price was amazing at my time of purchase for this size tv . then add in the plus of the fire tv part lets you add many apps that other tvs block from use and I can't see a down side to it this ones a 5Star AAA in my book . PS tested 23 models before this one!

State of the art. Inexpense. Great deal.
We love this TV! Its 75 inches, the picture is excellent and because it's a fire TV, the one wire is the power cord. We replaced an older TV that used a Roku device to stream, there is no comparison. This new TV is state of the art and incredibly inexpensive. A great deal.

CHEAP, but BEWARE - TV Will not say on - powers off after 15 min
This TV is an impressive size and a great price, HOWEVER - it turns off constantly! It continues to shut off after about 15 min or so because it thinks the COX Cable box input is sleeping. I have extensively worked on settings to combat this, but nonetheless, the TV power settings/eco vibe have HARD CODED in the firmware that the TV is not receiving input from the Cox Cable box (wifi/streaming). Probably not an issue for gaming or maybe a different input, but I have downscaled resolution to 1080, removed CEC controls (requiring use of 2 separate remotes) and modified/adjusted settings to combat this, and after rebooting both systems it stay on…. Only until you change the channel. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Wish I could return this - would not buy again!

Toshiba offers a great TV for the money
Comes with Alexa frontend and remote, which is more responsive and easier to navigate than most of the other options like Google TV or *shudder* the Samsung frontend. It's fairly thin for its size, and has really small bezels, so it's a great TV for wallmounting. We're using the built-in WiFi to stream our services, and havent noticed any latency or pausing issues at all. Keeps up with 1080 streaming just fine. The picture and sound are pretty impressive, especially for a TV at this price point. All in all, it's a great TV for the money.
