Starwest Botanicals Organic Ashwagandha Root, Cut & Sifted - Bulk 1 lb Bag

I always prefer bulk whole herbs. It is so hard to know for sure what your are getting otherwise. These are great because the pack is resealable. Ashwagandha is a favorite because I am as anxious as a mouse riding a hawk's back in the best of times. These days, I'm considering just forgetting coffee and going straight to booze when I wake. Things are a little tense. A schooch. So, I like to take a pinch of this and put it in with my coffee grounds in the morning. For most, you can't even taste. But Ashwagandha is very bitter. That's a big reason why I new this was real because it was quite bitter and I recognized the taste. I think it might be too bitter for a coffee add in. But, great for homebrew. If you are someone that doesn't expect your medicine to taste good, then pour some hot water over this and chug. You can also add a little lemon and honey and the bitterness becomes a nice accent. Otherwise, just know that you will have the taste of pencils in your mouth for hours....wait, would a millennial know what a pencil tasted like? Hmmm Well, if you were born after good ol yellow pencils, just know that when you taste Ashwagandha you are tasting the past

I was at a local farmers market in town and a lady selling kale chips was chewing on something that seemed like tobacco so I inquired what it was. She said it was Ashwgandha roots cut and sifted. She offered me a taste and she said to hold in in your cheek and keep chewing it unit the herb had been released and then spit out or swallow. When I tried it it tasted kind of strong but I stuck with it and chewed away. After 20 minutes I spit it out and went back to her and asked her what the herb is good for. She said it's very good for Men and gave me a laundry list of why it is so good for you: ) Naturally increase free and total testosterone in men 2) Reduce anxiety 3) Reduce stress levels 4) Increase sexual arousal and sexual performance 5) Increase physical strength, stamina, and muscle size 6) Shorten recovery time after workouts 7) Reduce the stress hormone “cortisol” 8) Improve cognition and memory 9) Improve feelings of happiness I felt great all day and immediately decided to go to Amazon to order this product. I use it regularly as described and it has really increased my energy and endurance. The product from Starwest is of very good quality and the price is very reasonable.

Great size for the price. Worked well for making my herbal tea combo.

I wish it was ground up, But I have used it in a couple of ways now, in tea, and coffee I also used in like some would use tobacco, Only time will give me more information

Excellent product! Ashwagandha Root for Tea!

I'm someone who's very hesitant to like teas, but the way this tea tastes is perfect for me. With a little lemon, it's good to go. The main reason I tried ashwagandha as a tea was to help manage stress and this really does the job! I love it! I've been so much calmer and at ease from drinking it these past few days. It's definitely worth a try if you're on the fence like I was.
