Bonide 212 All Seasons Concentrate Pest Control Spray, 1 Gal

Ordered on 2-4-26 delivered on 2-20-26….leaves have already popped on some of my plants and I can’t spray now…..Disappointed….but it’s a good product

This product says it is fully miscible in water, but it is NOT. I have used ag oil on my citrus and pit fruit for 25 years. Monetary horticultural oil, for example, has enough nonionic detergent in it to he fully miscible in water. I usually mix horticultural oil with 2 equal volumes of water to apply using a backpack airblast sprayer. Bonide hort. oil was not soluble in water in these amounts. I was left with two layers of oil and water in the sprayer that would NOT mix, no matter how vigorously I tried to mix them. Fortunately, I added a small amount of antifoam, which is a weak nonionic detergent for use with insoluble agricultural chemicals, and that allowed the oil and water to fully mix. I should not have had to add this detergent. Other brands, such as Monterey horticultural oil have it already added. I was fortunate to have antifoam on hand, because the Bonide claim was false, and the oil and water were already in the sprayer.

Did you walk past your Citrus and notice the leaves curling and folding in? Upon closer inspection, are the leaf's showing "slimy" highways along the leaf's face or underside? What about black spots underneath the foliage? Trust me, it made me insane watching it happen to all my 1 year old citrus trees. From my Bears Lime, Mexican Key Lime to my Valencia and Dancy Mandarin Citrus, they were all getting infected by that nasty, ugly leaf miner. Here's what i did to solve my issue: 1. In a 2 Gallon Sprayer, add 1 cup of Captain Jacks Dead Bug Brew and 1 cup of Bonide 212 All Seasons Concentrate. 2. Mix well 3. Pump and start spraying your citrus. Spray the top of the leaves as well as the bottom. Please remember, Leaf miner season starts in June and ends in November. Please remember to spray every 3 weeks to prevent a large infestation of these suckers. Also note that the damage is already done, you will not reverse the leaves that were affected, but you will stop the spread of the miner affecting other areas. What this will do is help prevent damage to any new foliage shooting and stop additional damage the existing leaves. One quick note, it will take 2 sprays to eliminate it. Do it 2 weeks apart. Your leaves will look nice and shiny, that's normal as the combination of the 2 contains an oily substance that smothers the miner, causing it to die. I feel like it adds to the attraction, but that's just me.
