I couldn't knock a star off.
Because there wasn't a reason to do so.This is an "INEXPENSIVE" stereo patch cord. On one end you have male XLR connectors and on the other end, a stereo (TRS or Tip-Ring-Sleeve) mini-plug.The overall length of our cable, tip-to-tip measured 6"6.75" (78.75") long. The cable itself has a durable, soft to the touch, outer cover and the main cable is very flexible, which indicates many stranded wire inside the covering. Overall, it has the pleasant, feel to the hand that one looks for in a product of this kind. The TRS end is a molded finished plug end and the XLR connectors are the assembled termination style plug end with rubber slip-on termination boot ends.Overall, this is a well manufactured product that looks like it will give many years of faithful service. Like all items of this kind, this is not a permission slip to go all gorilla on the patch cord. Normal use rules apply as to proper storage, which means, not stored in a boxed up tangle and then unceremoniously pulled out of the box along with twenty pounds of tangled up cables pulling on the XLR connections. And normal use means disconnecting from the plug end itself, not disconnecting by pulling on the cord and yanking the cable out of the connector. If this cable is shown normal usage, there's no reason to believe this product will fail to perform for many years. Abuse the product and it could possibly fail the same day installed for use. If one wants a patch cord they can go all gorilla on, then they'll need to spend a boatload more to get a product they don't have to respect. If one respects their gear, this patch cord will do what it is they want, be a six foot stereo patch cord to be used to connect two locations together. For the delivered price, there's no reason to discount a star but repeating myself, this is not a cord one can go all gorilla on. If that's what one is looking for, they'll need to spend more but if one is looking for an inexpensive stereo, XLR > TRS mini-plug connector, they will give proper treatment, this is the cable that will serve your needs for years.Hope the above helps in your buying decision.

Works, but not for hifi
Got this to quickly wire two KRK Rokit7 monitors into my Apple Mac Mini, while aware that the proper solution is to get what's called a "direct box" like the Radial USB Pro. My thought process was "for $15 I can get this and see how it works, then get the direct box if needed."Well, the cable works great, as long as things are loud. For quieter levels or when on pause/mute, there's a pretty good hiss out of the speakers. I'll be picking up a direct box once the hiss bugs me enough...EDIT a week or two later...Got tired of the hiss pretty quick. 🙃 Ordered a new set of XLR cables and a Mackie MDB-USB...and the hiss didn't go away. Looks like it's a known inherent issue in the speakers. So...I can't recommend or not recommend this. Will file under "works in a pinch." If/when I replace the monitors I'll try to test again and update.

Must Have For Studio
I bought these for their main purpose, to connect by studio monitors(KRK G2 5) to my computer.I use this cable on the daily bases due to the fact : I am a musician !I have these in my home studio and do not remove the xlr inputs at all, only the input jack from my interface to my computer. The product is somewhat cheap built but it handles the job. I believe the product is not intended for heavy use as in, touring, live sound, shows, or being removed often.Overall the product is good for all you home recordist, home studio owners, and those in need of connecting your studio monitors together. If this review was helpful pleae give it a thumbs up:)Honest buyer

Basic Cable, 2XLR to 3.5mm jack.
It is what it says. The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is because the connection between the metal and rubber of the XLR end seems like it could be a bit fragile. So just make sure when you're unplugging the XLR side you grab the metal and not the rubber. It hasn't come apart yet and everything sounds fine, but it's just something I've noticed.Other than that great cable, great price, on-time shipping. Good job HOSA.

Good value. Solved my iMac/KRK noise issues nicely.
Exactly what I needed for my iMac with a JDS Labs DAC feeding KRK Rokit 5 monitors. Before switching to balanced XLR cables I suffered through a host of 3.5mm to RCA cables that were susceptible to various types of electrical noise. This Hosa cable solved all my noise issues at an eminently reasonable price. If you use studio monitors with balanced inputs available, this is the way to go.

Great cable. Built sturdy and has good flexibility to it. I've never liked a stiff cable. My only complaint is that the strain reliefs on the xlr end are a bit flimsy.

Speaker Fix
Used this for my Roland Ds-7 Speakers since it does not have an aux input (it's only XLR and RCA). Now I can use my laptop, phone, and TV with my speakers. It works great, the only thing I noticed is if you touch the 3.5mm jack when it's plugged in it causes a little bit of static so don't mess with the cord or move around a lot.

Looks and Feels Great - But Not Quality Enough to Keep from Cutting Out, Distorting, or Simply Not Working at All
Let me start by saying, it isn't worth it. Pay a little more money for a better one.I work at a professional video production company and we have this cord hooked up to all of our editing suite monitors. Only one of the speakers work even though it goes into two. I always thought this was because the gear was old. Then I decided to start my own home office. I bought brand new speakers and this cord, brand new. Again, after less than a week, audio would only play from one speaker. When you wiggle the cord you may get lucky and be able to balance it in the perfect spot to get sound out of both speakers. But knock the table, nudge the cord, or anything, and one speaker cuts out. This cord looks and feels high quality, but the inner workings of it just are NOT quality at all. Audio equipment (specifically cords) are very delicate and to carry a solid sound they need to be manufactured better than this.Would not recommend.

Better made than I expected
The range of reviews this item gets is weird. Mine turned up in a blister pack, feels well made and Just Works. The reviewer complaining that this lead blew up their iPod should be looking at what they plugged the lead into, not the lead. The back of the package even has a wiring diagram on it showing how the plugs are connected - this is not a tat item but one made to be used in a working technical environment.

Very poor quality
I've been using one of these for just over a month now, and already it has broken. I plugged the cable in once I got it, and it has stayed in the same place since. Now, one of the XLR connectors no longer works. I tried the cable with different devices and speakers after discovering the issue, to confirm that it is the cable that is faulty. Very annoyed to have spent £9 on an item which can only survive a month of use
