Canon PIXMA TR160 Wireless Portable Lightweight Compact Printer, 50-Sheet Paper Tray and 1.44" Display - Print On-The-Go

Fantastic, lightweight, portable, prints high quality!

Just what I needed. A printer that doesn't hog up space on my worktable. Bluetooth connection works fine, setup is easy and it prints in a timely fashion. Would recommend going to Canon's website and following the instructions there. The only difficulty I have had so far is that the printer does not recognize certain printing formats on my laptop computer, but that is likely a computer problem and not a result of the printer itself (the jury is still out on this). I purchased a battery for the printer, which is sold separately, and now I can take it anywhere I go. The overall size of the item is nice and portable. Just keep in mind that this printer does not scan. It is print only.

We live in a tiny home and this printer is perfect. Easy to take out of my desk drawer and plug in, use it and put it back. Great quality print and excelent value for the money.

Works great easy to set up..the only issue I have is that it will shutdown/off when not being actively using.

great portable printer. sometimes a little tricky to connect to wifi/bluetooth, but you can use the physical cord instead.

I've been looking for a printer that doesn't take up a lot of space but yet still prints out quality prints; I've finally found it! I saw a review where someone mentioned this printed out blurry prints; this isn't true. The person most likely had their setting s on "low quality prints" or something if they had that experience. I personally had mine on standard setting, but you can also do High Quality setting if you want (it uses up a little more ink but the option is there). I have had no paper jams whatsoever, it prints out SO smoothly. It doesn't make a lot of noise once printing out either. This printer is included with 2 "starting cartridges" of ink. It says online that the very first time you use printer, you will use a lot of ink so don't be alarmed if a lot is used the first time. It is to be expected. Also, the included starting cartridges don't hold as much ink as the normal cartridges of ink will later hold. Speaking of ink, I LOVE the price of ink this printer uses. The price is so affordable. I have already bought a 12 pack for future use. [By the way, there is a spot to connect a portable battery on the printer, but the battery is not included. You Must buy somewhere if you truly want the battery. I personally will not be taking my printer anywhere; i will be keeping mine at home so I don't care about a battery. I just wanted it compact so it wouldn't take up too much room on my desk] So yes, the price of the printer is expensive but the low price of ink you will be replacing makes it worth it. Also, the compact size makes the price worth it.

PROS: First the good things; It is definitely a very lightweight and portable printer for jobs on the go. It has a wireless direct mode that can supposedly work with or without a wireless router. I did not test the latter statement. It can also be connected directly via USB wire. CONS: This printer can only print ONE SIDE jobs!!! DUPLEX PRINTING is described in detail on page 262 of the Canon PIXMA TR160 manual misleading you into thinking that this printer can do TWO SIDED printing jobs. They call it “2-sided Printing (Manual)”. What they fail to explain is that (Manual) means that you will be the one flipping pages! Duplex Printing was one of the major selling points for me and I did read the Canon PIXMA TR160 manual page 262 before buying. To be honest I did not expect this kind of duplicity language from Canon and I feel cheated. PRINTING QUALITY is marginally average, but nothing to brag about. I would refrain from calling it HIGH-QUALITY PRINTING. Canon PRINT software is poor and is designed to make you buy additional stuff like Ink or Apps not to help you do printing jobs. 1.44” OLED DISPLAY is monochrome, tiny, and is very far from convenient to operate. The printer comes with 1 Color and 1 Black Ink cartridges sealed in plastic pouches that suppose to last through quite a few print jobs. I saw a number of pages written somewhere in the description that theses cartridges are supposed to last through, but I could not find that number again now that I am writing this review. Meanwhile, Canon PRINT software shows Estimated ink levels down approximately one third for color and one quarter for black cartridges and that is after printing three pages!!! BOTTOMLINE: Expensive – if you match price to quality. A very far cry from my 20-year-old PIXMA iP6700D printer that I was trying to temporary substitute. I was deliberating whether to give it 2 or 3 stars overall and decided to give it 3 stars for now in hope that it still might prove to be somehow marginally useful and not a complete write-off.

I received the printer pretty quickly through PRIME service. The printer came in the US plug, so need to use a adapter which is expected. The printer size is just right for my small apartment and the print quality is good. Thank you for the good offer Amazon!

Expensive but great for travel and prints very well.
