Recently I bought a real espresso machine with portafilter, so I needed a tamping station. Amazon has a large selection of these stations, most of them are very fancy. I was looking for a no-frills, compact and inexpensive tamping station, and this device fits the bill. It is a versatile (51/58mm portafilter sizes), has three positions for storage a tamper and other accessories, and its small size and black color make it a nice addition to any espresso machine. I am happy with my purchase.

This espresso knock box with tamp station has made my home espresso setup much more organized. The knock box is sturdy and holds up well even with frequent use. It’s easy to knock out used coffee grounds, and the integrated tamp station keeps my tamper conveniently at hand. The design is compact and doesn’t take up much counter space, which is a big plus for small kitchens. It is also good for stability and is lightweight. Good value for money as well. The only minor issue is that it can get a bit messy if you’re not careful when tapping out the portafilter, but overall it’s easy to clean and maintain. I’ve been using it daily, and it has held up nicely with no signs of wear. This combo is perfect for anyone looking to streamline their espresso routine and keep the workspace tidy.

This well made tamping station is exactly what I needed for my set up, love the look of it l, it’s does its job when you have a 54mm portafilter on it and using a 30lbs tamper without moving . It is plastic but definitely built to last for ease use! Take out the little insert cup and the 54mm will slide right in and just adjust the screw with a small rubber . Love it

Overall good device for the price. Quality is solid, not heavy, and sits flat on counter (no wobbling). Only issue is the portafilter holder is not universal. I will likely have to melt some of the plastic away to fit my portafilter properly. Otherwise it looks good, keeps things organized, and is a fair price.

I originally bought this plastic organizer/tamping station for its small size—one of the smallest of the numerous ones offered—but was afraid that not being wood, it would be cheap-looking. To my pleasant surprise, that’s not the case at all. For one thing the fact that the plastic has no glossy sheen at all — it’s a nice matte black — keeps it from standing out, blending especially well with the black trim of my adjacent espresso machine. And I think its lack of woodgrain also keeps it relatively invisible among the necessary espresso-making paraphernalia that tends to accumulate in every afficianado’s coffee corner. And adding to its feel of quality is its reasonable weightiness (to me, a positive, not a negative). Very nice. The fact that it is only about $10 is just icing on the cake.

This tamping station is just what I needed and works exceptionally well. It is heavy enough not to slide around on my counter, helped by the non-slip feet on the bottom. My 58 mm portafilter fits perfectly into the hole, once I figured out that the hole has an inner sleeve for smaller portafilters that must be removed for 58 mm ones. My only complaint is that the adjustment screw to support the portafilter handle was too short for my Profitech portafilter. However, I easily replaced the screw that came with the tamping station with a longer one, which now works perfectly. The solid black color looks great with black accents on my espresso machine, grinder, leveler, and tamper.

I love the storage and functionality of the box, plus it's interchangeable between 54mm and 58mm portafilters. I upgraded my espresso machine so this was extremely useful. Unfortunately, it's not as durable as I had hoped. The rubber component on the knock box came off pretty easily as if there wasn't even an adhesive applied. I'm hoping that the seller replaces only the knock box itself.

It is absolutely everything I expected from this product, holds my 51mm portafiltrer steady and the building quality is the best, very sturdy and smoothly finished. Very happy with my purchase.
