When did this edition come out? Is it recent?

It is recent (last year or so). I wouldn’t recommend playing with children younger than 8. Some of the questions they have to read require good reading skills. We love this game and often have tournaments against my daughter and her friends (8-9 yo).

Are the questions different from earlier family versions?

Yes. The have a variety but there are current questions as well.

The one I ordered as a gift has the same cover on the box as the one pictured here, and the one I ordered is definitely the US version. I ordered from Amazon based in the U.S.
