I have my fourth Golden and have done the Lamb and Rice on all of them, first time with this brand and so far so good. Happy, healthy and enough energy to keep me on my toes! Wouldn't have it any other way!

I have been buying the 40lb bag of this food and my dog loves it. It’s what she was eating before i got her. I tried the 20lb bag bc it’s easy to store and carry. She won’t touch it. Had some loose stools too. I didn’t want to believe some of the other reviews that said the same but they are in fact true. Will not be repurchasing this from amazon.

We purchased this for our $5K Leonberger Puppy. Its been 15 years since I've adopted a pet so I went with what the breeder was feeding him to keep things consistent. What I noticed is diarrhea was excessive. So I put it to the stress of the new environment, did some research and found that freeze dried pumpkin powder stooled him up real quick. The leonberger is a very calm dog, so the dog did not exhibit transition issues, just the diarrhea which is easily resolved by the freeze dried pumpkin powder. So I decided to do some research. I watched a Pet-Fooled on Amazon Prime Video which exposed the pet food industry and defined exactly what is "Beef Meal" "Lamb-Meal" animal-meal du-jour etc. I'm sorry, but that is not meat. Does dog food says certified non-GMO? No. So regardless of the fancy bag labels where the word "All Natural" is not regulated and even Twinkies can be labeled all natural. What I found is cats are carnivores, but dogs like humans are omnivores, but dogs have shorter intestines and much higher concentrations of stomach acid than humans, so they are closer to carnivores than Humans. But if you look at the labels of the food bags you see things lentils, beans, chickpeas and various other legumes as the bulk of the calories and yes, the bulk of the protein in dog food. The animal meal accounts for very little of the total protein. So I did some research and found V-Dog, which is a non-GMO whole food plant based large dog and puppy food brand. We ordered some off Amazon, and our Leonberger devoured it. Best of all, the stools firmed up, no more diarrhea. After more research, the longest lifespan for a dog was an exclusively plant based diet dog living 27 years. Many of the recent Guinness Book of World Records for various dog breeds are dogs who are on a plant based diet of lentils etc. Too many of my past dogs died of cancer within 5 years. We have a huge investment in this large breed Leonberger. We want to make sure first and foremost our newest member of our family has the highest quality life and longest life possible. I will not buy pet food that contains "animal meal" which is not meat and lack protein every again. Do your research, watch Pet Fooled on Amazon Prime Video and the evidence based nutrition facts point to all the attributes that V-Dog and other Plant Based Pet Food brands have. In fact, V-Dog has been on Forbes cover its growing that fast in its following.
