I have a habit of buying odd-ball devices just because they strike my fancy. There was something science-fiction-y about this so I had to have it. It turns out, for me, to be actually quite beneficial. It allows me to stumble to the bathroom in the middle of the night and not have to turn on a bright light, which would wake me up. I could and have used night-lights but they are usually always on if it is dark and I like/need complete darkness. And, it's cool! I've had it a couple of months now. Almost perfect in its performance: long battery life, easy to charge, adjustable for color and brightness, waterproof (of course), easy to clean. It has a very adjustable "clamp" to fit on any toilet bowl rim and hold securely. The only thing I wish was different was having the ability to adjust the activation distance. Just walking by the bathroom turns it on which must have some impact on battery life. The only glitch I have had is that one of the units has shut off several times in the middle of a pee; no apparent reason.

Purchased these 8 months ago. Charged 'em up and put 'em in service. Last week, within 3 days of each other, they both stopped lighting up. They worked an impressively long time on a single charge, but best of all, they both charged up again without issue and are now back in use. I did have to reset the preferred color after recharge, but that was easy. All in all, a simple, well-made product, that is well-priced, works well, and is durable. How often does that happen? I am pleased with this purchase - it is useful, still makes me laugh, and has proven to be a good value. Yup, that's five stars.

I've had toilet lights for probably about 5 years. This is something I don't want to live without now that I've had them. You don't have to turn on the "big" bathroom light in the middle of the night. These light up the toilet bowl, and give enough light for nighttime bathroom trips, but not so much light that it totally wakes you up. My original toilet lights took 3 AA batteries, and it seems the batteries wouldn't even last a year, even though I kept the bathroom door closed to prevent accidental motion detection and activation. When the batteries started getting low, (you can tell, because the light flashes red about 5 times before operating normally), I decided to look for a rechargeable one. I found these, and so far, so good! They charge quickly. I've had my new one in place for about a month, and it's working well. Now that rechargeable things exist, I'm going to try to purchase those instead of having to replace batteries so often.

I had a similar product in the past that helped me avoid turning on the lights to use the bathroom at night. These are 100 times better. I've literally only charged them once and so far the lights haven't dimmed or needed a recharge yet. And it's been a few months truthfully. I picked the color I wanted and set it where it would pick up my motion the best when using the bathroom. This way I'm not setting the light off just by entering the bathroom. These work so well I've just stopped turning on the light when I need to use the toilet. Helpful gadget to have.

I can't believe I'm actually coming back to review these lights two and a half years later. I don't typically write reviews for everything I get on Amazon but when something simply impresses so much I feel as though I should. I bought two of these several years ago, plug them in to charge the battery up and to this day I have not had to recharge them. One of them are in my kids bathroom and they as expected are in there quite often. The other one is in my bathroom and between my wife and I we probably use it less but either way we have not had to pluck it out from the toilet, clean it and recharge it at all. It has a nice blend of color options and the motion sensor Works flawlessly. We did have to tinker with its placement so that it doesn't come on when somebody walks into the area outside of the toilet but rather when you walk towards it and get close then we have it just right where it turns on as needed. Of course it can be too far out of line and won't come on so expect to play with it a bit.

I didn’t think I would love this as much as I do, but it’s honestly one of those little upgrades that makes a difference every single night. The motion sensor works great and turns on automatically when you walk into the bathroom, so you don’t have to blast yourself awake turning on overhead lights in the middle of the night. It gives off plenty of light without being harsh or too bright. This is actually my second toilet light, but my first rechargeable one — and I like this version MUCH better. My old battery-powered model lasted a long time, but changing batteries eventually became annoying and honestly kind of gross over time. Being rechargeable makes this one way more convenient. Installation was easy, the light looks cool at night, and it lights up enough of the bathroom to see where you’re going without waking yourself up completely. It is made out of plastic but very well made. Definitely one of those inexpensive little gadgets that ends up being surprisingly useful.

Where have these been all my life. These work good. They actually work well and stay charged a good long time. They shut off with light one as my battery ones would not no matter how I positioned them. These are best I have ever used. Easy to get positioned. Look nice. A+++ on longevity. Soft glad I got these.

Just received so only used last evening and early this morning. Early ...so far for me: was received on time; well packaged; easy to charge and I decided on one color and that was straight forward per instructions. Came on and went off as I expected. So far so good however need more time to comment further as no info on durability as yet.

As a night shift worker I love these and have bought them a number of times. I love the usb charger. I just wish for the price that they would last longer. They dwindle down to one colour then fade to nothing.

These are much better than the ones with 3 AAA batteries, a much more solid feeling unit and has the convenience of plugging in to recharge. I put the second one in my sock/boxer drawer so I can find my essentials in the morning without disturbing my sleeping wife or my half awake eyes.
