Putting these on the reading loft in the playroom so only older kids can get up there. Anyways will these hold up well on a plywood sheet?

They seem like they will hold up. We haven't had ours up long to know for sure how they last. They seem sturdy though.

How much body weight will these hold?

I don’t know the specific capacity but I am 210 pounds and have no issue using them. The hardware they come with is really nice.

Can this be used directly on a tree, as sold?

It uses bolts that you secure from the back side of the climbing wall, so you would have to find different hardware, screws that would be secure in the tree.
