Excellent product
I recently purchased the VIMTAG outdoor security camera and Iโm very impressed with its performance. The image quality is clear, and the camera provides reliable monitoring day and night. The setup process was simple, and the app is easy to use for checking the camera remotely. I like that it is designed for outdoor use and feels durable against different weather conditions. The motion detection works well, and the alerts help me keep an eye on my property when Iโm away.

Not compatible with Blue Iris
This would be a fantastic camera if it would integrate with my Blu Iris security camera software. It has a setting for ONVIF, which I enabled. However, it will only connect for a few seconds. Some research indicates that the RTSP URL changes constantly, which I verified when trying to connect it to the camera software. Otherwise, for the price it's amazing. I mounted it on a pole 50 feet from my house and it is working great through the app. I made sure my 2.4g wifi reached there first... The PTZ and zoom work great and the picture is crisp. If this worked with Blue Iris I would buy more. EDIT: Updated from 3 to 5 stars. Vimtag read my review and offered me a full refund. They wrote me a respectful message and apologized for the issue. They do not currently have a timeline for changing anything concerning security software integration. Fair enough and appreciate the honesty. I declined the refund. For the price it's a fine piece of hardware. I would consider their cameras in the future if they offer full ONVIF compatibility.

Very impressed for the cost!
Have had 3 of these for a few weeks now. Really impressed for the cost. I've had a few other brands that cost a lot more, and none of them had the full feature set like these do. Picture is clear and bright. Set up was quick and easy. Even connected them to my desktop PC using a free ONVIF app. Slapped a 512GB SD card into each of them, got over 2 weeks of archive footage and still not full. Zero connection issues (I have a quality router, not the crap your ISP gave/sold you). Notifications are a bit hit or miss. Sometimes will tag a cat or deer (yes, there are deer roaming around my town). But it can also tag someone who is half a block away walking towards my house. I used an outlet light socket adapter to plug them in. They have a bright light on them already that you can have off, on when they detect something, or on whenever it's dark. No need for more light bulbs. Just make sure you do something to make sure you don't accidentally turn off that light switch ๐. The Canny Cam app is very robust with TONS of options and features. Very nice indeed. All things considered, I can't recommend these enough! Phenomenal cameras! Excellent app. And top notch customer service (I had to ask a question about some settings, they got back to me quickly and with the info I needed). If you're looking for a quality camera that won't break the bank, look no further. Edit: a 512GB SD card holds over 2 months of constant recording. And with the recent updates to the Canny Cam app, you need to re-boot the app occasionally due to connection issues. It's a recent issue. I expect it'll be fixed soon.

Good camera, no ONVIF support
On the positive, the image is really good for the price, especially at night, and the camera moves smoothly. Also, their support is excellent: very fast replies with lots of details and good explanations. On the negative, this camera only works with its app, and only when fully connected to the internet. Which means that you are potentially sending your wifi password, data from your network and everything the camera sees to a random server in China. Forget about privacy and security. Cheap cameras like this are a security nightmare, with too many examples of easy hacks to even mention. I haven't really tried to hack into this, to be clear, so I can't say for sure how insecure it is. Just that the odds are pretty good it's not secure. All my cameras are on a separate network, blocked from accessing the internet, and being controlled with ONVIF. In theory, this camera has a setting to enable ONVIF. In reality, it's a completely non standard implementation, with a RTSP stream that changes URL every few seconds and no way to use PTZ functionality with ONVIF. You can't really use it with a standard ONVIF program and, even if you manage to adapt to the ever-changing RTSP URL, any PTZ command you send will move the camera from one end to another (usually pointing to the wall behind the camera). I have half a dozen cheap cameras, all working with ONVIF, and I'm more technical than most. There's really no way to make this work reliably, confirmed by their support So, if you want an unsafe camera that uses a proprietary app, this works probably better than many other similarly priced and similarly insecure cameras. And has really good support. If you want security and ONVIF, look elsewhere. I'm returning the camera and getting something else

Good cameras, great customer service
Vimtag cameras are very easy to setup and have a very clear image. They come with everything needed to hang them. I received an email from the company to register the cameras for the warranty, which is 2 years. All they asked for was the Amazon order numbers and they did the rest. It seems like a very decent company

Not standard ONVIF - has rotating RTSP URLs and so won't work with Blue Iris.
I wanted to like this camera because the price was great and the functionality appeared to be fine. However it is not a standard ONVIF implementation and has rotating RTSP URLs. Some software can handle this, but Blue Iris cannot and so it doesn't meet my needs. I'm sure they do because because of security, but they should have an option to toggle standard profile URLs for use with other NVR software. Sadly, I had to return it. ODM can determine the current URLs and I can paste those into BI and it will work for a while, but the URL will soon change and break the BI integration. I'd have to use some sort of intermediary to make it work - too complicated. It was also unclear to me whether it offered a sub-stream - it might have, but I saw no evidence of it and did not research further. Most cameras give you a 720p option for basic motion detection and casual looking at the camera and a 1080 or higher for still or video capture to reduce traffic and CPU. Did not see that here. This camera was destined for a very remote location with cellular-only network access and having a 720p sub-stream is crucial. I give it 3 star for being a great price and the image I saw looked good. Oh, I also could not eliminate all OSD on this camera. I use OSD from Blue Iris, and normally turn off all on-camera OSD but this camera would not let me turn off the current date for a completely clean image. I never want the camera's OSD because I block all Chinese cameras from the internet and most of them don't provide you the ability to do a local time sync anyway. Blue Iris lets me add other things to the OSD, like local temperature, wind, and so on. Close, but no cigar.

Good picture quality
This is a good little unit. The picture is crystal clear. The setup was not as easy as I thought it would be. But, while having problems with the setup, it suddenly completed the setup without me....kind of. But now, it is doing it's job well. Good color and good night vision, although I have turned the mode day-time, I will have to see tonight if the unit picks up on what I am viewing in the parking lot. We have a lot of light in the parking lot, so I would expect the unit to really perform well....if not, then I will turn it back to automatic. The unit does have a difficult time with 2.4Hz, and will cut out at times. The router is about 10 feet from the unit....so why it cuts out, I don't know. But, all in all, it is a good unit.
