Premium TV. Just as good as the 2026 model but at a better price.
So this is my first OLED TV. I did extensive research on OLED TVs and this TV and model was always rated in the top three. Sony Samsung and LG. I was using a 50 inch 2022 Sony Bravia LED. While the Sony still worked fine I was looking for something bright colorful deep blacks & would look great using the PS5 and Xbox series X especially showing accurate blacks and contrast. And this TV doesn't disappoint. I was looking for a 50 inch but this TV starts at 42 inch 48 and jumps to 55 inch and bigger. It's extremely hard to find 50 inch TVs these days. But two inches smaller isn't really a big deal. This TV has everything you would expect from a great TV with a reputation like LG. I really don't have any issues with it. Besides getting the right settings. More on that later. I thought I might have a problem with the remote since that was the main complaint in reviews. The mouse in the center is easy to work around. Just press on the outer edge of the circle and it is basically a traditional style remote. The 4 HDMI 2.1 ports are great especially compared to a new Sony which still only comes with two HDMI 2.1 ports. The picture is like looking through glass on 4k content and the Dolby Vision really helps. It also has Dolby Atmos. For a smaller TV the sound is actually really good. Now it is frustrating to try and calibrate this TV if you don't know what you're doing. I didn't until I watched a couple videos on YouTube that explains everything in detail. I suggest looking up Frugal Picks or Digital Trends. These two YouTube channels will explain everything in terms you can understand. Right out of the box a lot of features are automatically on that actually ruin the picture. The three easiest settings you want to do immediately is set the picture to Film Maker. So you get a accurate picture. Disable eye care True Motion and any kind of auto dimming or eco settings. Also the TV is automatically set to store mode. So obviously set it to home viewing. There are all kinds of other settings that are really important but difficult to explain so it really is a must to watch a video on this. Or you might be very disappointed with how it looks with certain settings that are automatically turned on. For games it's easy. Since there are separate settings just for games. When you turn on your console lightly tap on the settings button and a game optimizer will pop up. From here there is every setting you need to get the best colors deepest blacks and everything else you want your console to do. Setting up the game consoles is probably the easiest thing to do without any frustration. It's straight forward. Just watch a video on everything else to get the best possible settings. I really really encourage this. Once everything is set up correctly this TV is outstanding. On a side note this TV comes with the Xbox app. So you can play Xbox games on this TV without having a console everything is set up using the cloud. You will still need to set up a Xbox account and get a Game pass subscription. And you will need a controller. I think you can also use a PS5 controller but I would check on that.

Excellent TV with Amazing Picture Quality and Easy Controls
I purchased this TV to replace an older LG model that was accidentally broken, and the difference is incredible. The picture quality, colors, controls, and overall ease of use are a major upgrade from my previous TV. Everything feels faster, smoother, and more user-friendly. While the price was higher than my older model, it was well worth it โ and I found the best price with free shipping, which made the purchase even better. Iโm extremely happy with this TV and would definitely recommend it.

The picture, wow !!
Amazing picture !! This is the third LG OLED tv that I own and they all have fantastic video and very good sound. Delivery was a bit messed up, but still received in a timely manner. Set up was super simple. Even lower grade video looks great on this tv, while the 4k video is amazing. Paired with an S70TY LG Soundbar/subwoofer and the sound is awesome.

Solid Upgrade with a Unique Remote
I really like this TV so far. Even though I use a sound bar the built-in speakers on this thing are actually pretty impressive. The remote is a bit different but I honestly love it. It has a scroll wheel and you can use it almost like a Wii remote which feels so intuitive that going back to a standard remote is going to be tough. My only gripe is that they replaced some of the standard button icons with their own symbols which makes things a little confusing. For example you have to hold down a specific button for a few seconds just to find the input menu. If they kept the Wii functionality and the scroll wheel but used more traditional buttons this remote would be perfect. The build quality seems solid. To be honest I am coming from a QLED and the picture hasn't completely blown me away yet. However the 144Hz refresh rate is awesome and the price was definitely right.

Very good TV, but be careful with Amazon payment plans.
Easy setup. Very clear picture. The LG remote takes a while to learn, and it will take us some time to adjust (we're using YouTube videos). Actually, Amazon.com itself was a problem here, due to its billing. We were supposed to have a 12 month payment plan with no interest. At least that is what we'd ordered. Amazon billed the whole amount to our credit card, with no clear way to allow the payment plan originally ordered. We contacted customer service, but their explanations were very unclear.

Well worth the 2026 price for a 2025 TV
I think I'd actually rate this at 4.8 stars, but that's not an option. This TV is replacing an LG OLED C9, which I bought in 2018 or so. The C9 finally suffered from either burn-in or worn-out pixels, not sure which. Got some blue tint near the bottom of the screen and the color distortion spread up about a fourth of the way in the middle. Not terrible. I watched it for a few months with this and it didn't bother me a great deal. For the price you pay for this 2025 set in 2026? The C5 is more than worth it. Chose a picture mode, but then found I couldn't adjust tint and color in that mode. Went to the "standard" mode and then I could. I found I had to lesson the color and adjust the tint to get the color on facial images right. Keep in mind that different sources may need different settings. The remote, though fairly intuitive, takes some getting used to, but it didn't take all that long to figure out how to make the adjustments with it. Had to go online to figure out why "color" was grayed out in other modes. As for sound, I have my TV hooked up to my audio system with HDMI. I only like listening to the audio system (7.1 surround) when listening to music or watching a movie. Otherwise, I prefer the TV sound. You can choose the TV sound you like, but be aware that different choices limit the volume range. I tried them all, but found that the one that worked best for me was the "sports" mode. Simply allowed me to get the volume and clarity I need for voices. The TV sound is more than adequate and considering the TV is only 1.8 inches at its widest, the speakers are pretty decent. Final comments? The colors pop a little more than on the older LG, but, truthfully, I wouldn't have replaced the older TV if I hadn't had the color distortion. I don't notice any difference in resolution. OLED technology simply produces the best picture in my opinion and picture quality has remained pretty much the same over the years.

Unbelievably Real!
My FIRST tv purchase was in 2007 at Target. It was a 32in flatscreen Sony and it was a display so I got it on discount. After 19yrs I finally decided to invest on the latest and the best tv there is. With extensive research on Google/YouTube especially between the LG and Samsung OLED, The LG OLED EVO AI C5series 65in IS IT๐! It is pure entertainment at the highest quality possible. Very easy to set up. Picture quality looks unbelievably real no matter what picture mode you choose. The remote control is quite small but simple and straightforward not too many buttons, though Iโm not crazy about the tiny ball roll button in the middle but I digress. Hope this will last me another 19yrs or more.

Great size and perfect for gaming on PS5 Pro
I love this TV! I bought the TV for gaming and movies. I hooked it up to a PlayStation 5 Pro and the image is amazing. The higher refresh rate and AI made such a huge difference to my last LG OLED 65โ. Loved that this came in 77โ, fits my area perfectly. Easy to set up and install. Remote is intuitive and the LG app works well for saving my favorite streaming services. My father bought one a week after he saw mine. He was so impressed by it. Highly recommend.
