Fresh(definitely NOT leftover from Christmas), moist, tender, fine, smooth texture, wonderful taste (not of bitter almond extract as too often is the case). Not cheap, quality costs a bit more. Exceeding reasonable. Getting five makes it easy to share.

Spoiled Candy Schluckwerder Chocolate Covered Marzipan (50g)
DISAPPOINTED. Buyer beware! Schluckwerder Chocolate Covered Marzipan (50g) order that I received was not edible. Received shipment in November 2025. The candy was STALE, out-of-date product received. The Chocolate was discolored and spoiled. The Marzipan was DRIED out. All FIVE candy bars were disgusting. Hated this product.

Yummy and fresh!
I absolutely love marzipan and these bars certainly didn’t disappoint. Package arrived quickly and bars were extremely fresh (they expire in 2026). Will definitely buy again.

Delicious and fresh....
I purchased only a few of these first go around based on the mixed reviews. Also, since the weather is still cool I thought they would not suffer any blooming due to heat in the shipping and mailing. I am so glad I did...mine arrived with no blooming on the chocolate shell and were really fresh. The pull date on them is for January of 2022! I decided to order more based on my experience and glad I did as they too were the same as the first batch. This particular brand we used to buy in Europe at Lidl and like others who have reviewed them, there is a pleasant memory of eating marzipan at Christmas and Easter for our family. Now to find the Easter egg with marzipan middles and chocolate covering with the hard candy outer shell...guess I will need to go to Denmark for those.

Marzipan you will drool for
Way too good. 1/2 the bar was plenty for a marzipan fix. Fresh, balanced moisture, not stale and not melted. Worth every penny for the supreme quality

Excellent!
At Christmas I was given a small sample of this candy in a bag of everyday chocolates as a gift. I had never heard of Schluckwerder before, but I like marzipan and chocolate, and tried it. Wow, this is excellent candy! I’ve bought 10 of these bars and I’m looking forward to sharing with my sister the next time I see her. Yum!
