The only problem which is to be expected is that while playing basketball your face is sweating a lot and it runs in your eyes. It definitely protects my son's nose that he just had surgery on because he took an elbow to it while in practice one day. He wanted to take some bumps with it on so tried to hit his own face and he could not feel it. It definitely does the job.
