Is there anything else in the ingredients other than salt and iodine... any dextrose or other additive?

Only two things listed on the jar. Sea salt and iodine.

Can someone recommend a good salt grinder for this product? thanks

I use it in the OXO Good Grips Salt and Pepper Grinder Set. No complaints. The mills are reasonably ergonomic, good capacity, and the grind is adjustable. Given the size of the crystals in the Seasonello coarse sea salt, I was concerned that it wouldn't stay in the grinder - that turned out to not be a problem.

How much iodine do you get per serving?

My doctor sent me to see a nutritionist. I have for some time been a salt, oil, and sugar free plant based eater. My labs all looked great, but my thyroid function was suffering. I did not want to increase my thyroid hormone meds. My physician believed it was because I ate no iodized salt, and I absolutely hate seaweed...go figure....I like some seaweed, but they are the ones that do not help with iodine. The nutritionist said 1/4 tsp of any salt should be your max. amt. of salt per day, so this totally eliminates any processed foods from my diet. And, as it so happens, 1/4 tsp. of salt gives the appropriate amount of iodine to maintain a healthy thyroid, per instructions from this particular dietician.

I don't think so- it has iodine for people who have IBS or thyroid issues

Not too salty yet still has iodine

Not too salty; no taste of iodine. Works well in the salt-grinder -- does not clog. Grain size appeared initially to be small, but turned out to be just right. No smell whatsoever. Happy to have a sea salt that contains a source of iodine.
