Bottom line is it's very good value. My previous TV was a 10 year old mid-range LG which wore out and developed a blue tinge so maybe any new TV would be an improvement. It arrived well packed, take note of the picture-instructions on the lid on how to remove without pressuring the screen, basically pull out holding the sides which I did from box laid flat on the floor. You can screw in the plastic feet supplied but the separation in 1.01m, wider than my table, so I got a VESA compliant 300mmx300 table stand. Checking for update, setting country etc took quite a long time and was straightforward apart from the QR code on the screen would not log me into Google so I reverted to the Manual option. It helps if you tick the option to see your password before typing as the virtual keyboard covers it. The controller is simple, press the Home button which gives you options to open the channels you tuned into and apps like Netflix. The sound is OK, and can change profiles for Voice, Music etc. My 10 year old LG Sound Bar plugged in via the Optical Output and worked straight away, though cannot be controlled with the TCL controlled only with the LG Soundbar Controller. The picture quality is very good for a TV of this price. Sampled some films, rugby and fast moving football and looks good. You can tune colour, movements etc and there is advice on web on what others find work, though that depends on room lighting, distance etc. I choose the 'Intelligent' option and if I feel could be better choose 'Sport' for football. The only thing I did change was to increase Black Point to bring out detail in the shadows The viewing angle seems good, screen is bright. Searching for TVs most reviews were complementary, though saw one where is said it takes 35 secs to switch on and some motion blurring. My TV takes 6 secs from Standby and see little blurring of a fast football if I look for it, better TVs will cost more. I understand this model is the same as C6K, and maybe some reviewers were looking at C6KS which TCL say is a bit lower grade. It has a satellite tuner for satellites, but Freesat channels do not have an EPG, so I am editing the long list into the few Favourites I watch. It's a lot of telly for the money, and enough for me. If you want better you'll pay mcuh more.

So far, so good. This is the second TCL TV that I have purchased in the 2 years, and again, I'm not disappointed with taking a punt on TCL. Moving away from the big name brands of TV's that I have had in the past such as Samsung & Sony can fill you with a bit of trepidation but there is simply nothing to worry about. IMAGE - As seems to be standard with TCL the settings the TV ships with (picture wise), do need a fair bit of tinkering. In my case I had to up the clarity of the image and take a little bit of the brightness out, but once you've done that it's crystal clear. Hands down, it's one of the best images I've seen (I've also got a 55" Samsung OLED - this competes with that!). I've had zero issues with colour banding, ghosting or other modern day TV maladies. SOUND - The sound is exceptional - I was looking at getting a Hisense soundbar to beef up the sound but it's simply not needed. Dialogue is crystal clear and the bass is just enough (you can adjust all this to your needs though, so if you want more bass just up it in the audio menu). The sound is punchy though. OS - I had read on other TCL TVs horror stories with the Google TV operating system (which TBF I had encountered on my old Sony Bravia), but again whatever processor TCL is using it's fast, no lag, no menu hanging. So 10/10 for functionality. TV and remote - all was shipped in a well packaged box, it arrived on time with no damage, everything feels well made, and once you've paired up the Bluetooth remote you are away to the races. I've even paired up the TV with my PS5/PS4 controller, making going through menus even faster. Aerial/Terrestrial TV - It offers these services, but who really uses them these days. The one fault I may lay at the feet of TCL - again, if you are watching terrestrial TV or older content, the way TCL TVs process this image is not ideal so you will get a very distorted image. Beyond that, this is a steal of a TV! I just wish I had waited till the Amazon Prime Day deals - £85 cheaper! Oh well. Buy this TV, you will not be disappointed with your purchase, this rivals the big boys.

So I got the 55Inch Q6C and boy is it good it’s good 4 and 144hz which is amazing since I have a ps5 and it works exceptionally well and the quality is top notch and the audio is also great I’ve seen some reviews say it isn’t that good but it has Dolby atmos which is amazing and we got the wall mount and unboxing service as a add on which was also good since the workers did an amazing job and were quick and the tv set up was really easy definitely recommend it’s a budget friendly but with premium design and quality

I was searching Google for the best gaming TV's and the TCL C6K came up as the highly recommended budget option boasting its gaming capabilities and picture quality for movies, after some searching i found this TCL Q6C is exactly the same TV as the C6K with all the same design and components yet cheaper than the C6K on argos and currys at £499. I found the setting up straight forward and im very happy with the visuals on both gaming and movies infact ive been blown away with the picture quality and performance with both gaming and movies. The performance, quality and design are way above the standard i was expecting from a so called budget TV it looks amazing and several people have been shocked to hear just how affordable it is compared to the "quite frankly extortionate" prices for oleds/qled tv's out there. Sound wise its pretty good, again its better than you'd expect from a budget TV but i prefer to use my majority soundbar on any tv for deeper punchy bass but you won't be disappointed with the decent built in onkyo speakers, if you don't care about deep punchy bass especially when gaming and watching movies then you'll be very happy with the sound. I only use YouTube, Amazon Prime and Tubi apps they work great on this tv, it connects to WiFi without issues and was really easy to set up the WiFi connection, the controller is sleak and very responsive i really like the controller. Overall im over the moon with this TCL, like many I'd never heard of TCL till now i was a strictly LG all the way guy for TV's until now but i mainly purchased this tv for its gaming capabilities and it totally knocks your socks off on this regards, for the quality when watching movies its also knocks my socks off, so i highly recommend this TV especially for gaming plus you'll never be disappointed with picture quality with movies.

After going through five TVs since December, my hopes of ever finding one I both liked and that didn’t have significant defects were low. Just had this delivered today and I’m happy to say I think I’ve finally found a keeper. I hesitated buying another TCL as most of my recent rejects have been theirs, however the specs vs the price of this unit made it hard to resist at least giving a chance. Happy to say I’m finally satisfied - a crisp and clear picture, no significant light bleed or banding issues, handles my Xbox Series X beautifully. Even 1080p Netflix streaming looks wonderful scaled up. The only reason I haven’t given five stars is that there is a very slight arrow-shaped blemish near the centre of the screen, possibly damage done in shipping. However it is really only noticeable on a completely white screen (I did my diligence with uniformity tests right out of the box after my previous issues), and during both the game and movie I’ve tested (Control and Kpop Demon Hunters respectively), it is basically invisible. If I’d not done the tests right out of the box I might not even have noticed it and you’d be looking at a 5-star unit. Even still, a 55” 4K mini-led with full 144hz gaming support under £400 is incredible value.

For a budget premium mini LED TV, this is a great TV! It has high colour accuracy with good contrast and deep blacks thanks to local dimming (180 dimming zones). Decent brightness for day time watching too (with auto brightness available) and very low brightness too for night time watching. SDR content on this looks amazing! HDR content looks good too for a budget Mini LED TV thanks to those local dimming zones but it could do with more, 180 is few but is decent. Viewing angles are good. Sound is great. It comes with two built in subwoofers on the back and two down firing stereo speakers, more than you'd get on budget TV's. But I would still recommend dedicated external speakers because the sound is way better quality than any TV, you will notice the quality even if you buy used or cheap sound bar or speakers, they have better dynamic range, can produce sounds clearer and with better stereo sound. Android TV OS is fast and has plenty of useful apps including the ability to download third part apps such as Smart tube (YouTube with no ads). The TV has all the major HDR and Audio codecs so that's nice to have! My PS5 runs 120hz smoothly on this. Build quality is decent including the remote but I don't like the included stands, they're too far apart which means it may not fit your TV bench and may have to buy a Vesa stand (which is what I did) so the TV can fit smaller TV benches. It's a heavy TV but it's a big VA LCD panel so it's expected. I'm pleased it's has 4 top rated HDMI ports as well as many other ports including USB 3.0. I recommend it, unless you can get the higher tier models for the same or lower price.

A feature packed 4k mini led 55" TV for £400 did seem too good to be true. Amazon's return policy is solid so I took a chance and ordered it. On paper this TV reads like a bargain. 144hz panel. VRR support. Bright mini LED back light with dimming zones. Quantum dot coating. Support for Dolby Vision and hdr10+. Android TV OS Sadly the LCD response times on this VA panel is worse than my almost 20yr old Sony Bravia. It's about on par with the Sega GameGear's which released in the Western market in 1991! Dark scenes at any framerate from 24hz to 144hz are a blurry soup. Moving objects leave a trail of smear behind them. Navigating the gray on dark gray colour scheme of the Google TV OS leaves a ghost smear lasting around 1/4~1/5th of a second. You don't need to be a videographer to see it. And once you've seen it, you can't unsee it. The reason they pack so many great sounding features into this TV is to con people into buying it. The only use I can think of for this panel would be to display static art/photos. For literally anything else this TV is e-waste. It's a disgusting waste of resources producing and shipping this TV. Maybe the high end TCL'S are good? This upper budget/entry midrange has soured any intention to even consider this brand again.

Had this set for a week now and it gets a solid recommendation from me. Simple to unbox and get set up, it has wide feet so make sure you have the space if not wall mounting. Build quality is solid, with a tiny logo at the bottom of the screen and all the connections you could possibly need easily accessible at the back. Power cable is only 1.5m so keep this in mind if distance to a socket matters to you. This set runs on Google TV, so if you're familiar with or coming from another Android based device, it's very straightforward. The interface is clean and snappy, with a selection of streaming services out of the box (including apple TV and airplay compatibility) - virtually all can be logged in to via a QR scan with your phone. There's very little bloatware but very easy to delete anything you don't want and download any new apps you do. Picture adjustment is always personal preference, but I found it very easy to adjust and each source remembers its settings and auto detects based on content you are watching. I only watch HD/4k content and this all runs beautifully, with plenty of detail, deep blacks and high brightness to deal with any glare during the day. Both SDR and HDR looking easily as good as more premium sets after a few setting tweaks. Mine is set up in a fairly small room and I've been genuinely surprised by the 2.1 sound system. It sounds great across all content so far and at the moment I have no consideration to add a soundbar. As a gamer (Xbox Series X), you could not wish for more compatibility and features (it supports all of them for current gen) and everything intuitively just works or is easy to toggle or navigate in the game bar. For what I bought this for - watching streaming services and gaming in HD/4K, and at 35-40% of the cost of the LG I orinally had in mind I couldn't be happier.
