It works well ,I have it on my air conditioner vent and even though it will sit in the sunlight I noticed it never gets hot as long as my ac is on.its all plastic so you kinda have to be careful with it,but it has never fallen out even when two dogs ran out in front of me at 50 mph and I slammed on the brakes and swerved.So as far as the vent mechanism being sturdy I felt it works well.I love the one touch release button.the holder has the gap on the bottom for USB connection even though I have a magnet on the back of my phone the arms seem to be just long enough to hold my phone securely.The price is what did it for me (reasonable) but this was my first phone holder. The stick-on parts look to be sturdy and with good instructions for attaching to the dash so overall I would recommend this holder.

Works great in my car. The other hook thing does not work in my car given the vent direction. I have not quite figured out whether it is stabilized by glue or not. It is quite sticky even though the production description says silicone suction. It works great so far. And the price is very decent.
