Great quality and good price.
Like all Brod & Taylor items, this is amazing quality (I love their stuff). The peel itself is light and easy to handle. I have CPS, and it doesnāt bother my hand AT ALL. While it is light, it in no way feels cheap. The handle is riveted and seems flush with the metal of the peel.On of my favorite things is that it is large enough to handle the bread and small pizza, but small enough to fit in my toaster oven. I sometimes buy those pizza crusts so that the kids can make a quick lunch when Iām busy. I like setting the crust on the rack to get a nice cook. This peel allows the kids to very easily get the pizza out of the toaster oven. At the sub $40 price range, you are definitely getting what you pay for. It isnāt expensive, but the quality is that of being expensive. Definitely worth the price. The only downside is that you have to hand wash it. It isnāt hard to wash and there arenāt many places for food to get stuck in. It really easy to hand wash, but you have to hand wash it nonetheless.Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this. It is so much better than my wooden peel. At this price range, getting this over another is a no brainer.

Great for removing pizzas from hot oven!
Works great, good size, and sturdy. I find it is great for removing pizza from the oven, but I really struggle to use it to toss pizza into the oven. No matter how much cornmeal or flour I use, the dough tends to stick and I need to use a spatula to help push the pizza onto my pizza steal. Iām going to try and get a wooden pizza paddle to use in conjunction with this one. I plan to use the wooden paddle for making pizzas and tossing them into the oven, and this metal paddle for removing pizzas from the oven. I think that would be the perfect combination.

Bread Peel
I ordered this Bread Peel because I recently started making my own bread at home and wanted to get the tools I would need to make the job easier. This bread peel is made with a good quality metal. It is sturdy and a bit heavy even though it is thin enough to slide under a loaf of bread. It is large enough to use with a pizza pie as well. It is easy to use with two hands and easy to clean with a soft sponge.

Not too big, not too small
I recently bought a pizza peel, but I realized that one was way too big for non-pizza bakes.I also have a square-end spatula, but sometimes I wish I had something bigger. This bread peel is just about right and as the name implies, I can use it for my sourdough. The square end is 'sharpened" to make it easier to get underneath my bakes. It has a non-metallic handle which stays cool when handling hot items. The handle is properly riveted to the peel and the peel has folds so it does not collapse under the load.

So handy to have around
I have 2 other pizza peels and have found that when one has a pizza oven or needs a large spatula to place a cooked pizza on, you just can't have too many of these! The quality of this is good, I can't find anything wrong with it at all, it can be hung on a hook as well. I do have one other pizza peel that the handle folds down, but I might actually prefer this one since I hang them anyway. Overall a great deal!

Sturdy and handy pizza peel
We have a pizza oven at home that makes great pizza, but getting the pizza off the stone or rotating it has always been a huge hassle. The oven came with two half circle wooden peels that are awkward to use and often make more of a mess than they should because they are thick and can break the pizza. Working so close to the hot surface is also no fun. When this came up, the wife decided it was time to try something better. It is definitely better! This is thin so can get under easily and won't tear up the crust. It's large enough to scoop out a standard pizza like Red Baron or Aldi's.It doesn't flex and is well made.Is it worth $40? Thats up to you to decide. I know I won't go back to the wooden things and this is so easy to deal with I probably would get it for the full price. You sometimes just pay for quality and this is well designed and quality made.

Well Made Pizza Peel from Reputable Brand
I ordered this Brod & Taylor Bread Peel to help transfer my homemade pizza onto my hot pizza steel. It seems very good quality and I think it will be durable. I also like that it comes from a very reputable brand. It is large so I recommend taking note of the dimensions if you have limited storage space.

Home Baking with Practical A-peel šš
EDIT: Unfortunately, Iāve dropped my rating from my original 5ā. The handle is connected to a plastic D-ring insert meant for hanging, but it doesnāt fit snugly enough. When I hung it on a wall hook, the weight of the peel (under 16oz!) was enough to pull the insert out entirely (see pic). A frustrating Achillesā heel on an otherwise great product. Iāll need to find a kitchen-safe way to secure it more firmlyāor store it differently, which makes it less convenient.------ORIGINAL REVIEW:Iām a big fan of BrĆød & Taylor, and this bread peel totally lives up to their repāsolid design, great materials, and consumer-friendly without overcomplicated 'features'. It's sized just right for home ovens and makes a sleek addition to any baking setup. The anodized aluminum is a standout feature. Unlike standard aluminum, itās treated to form a hard, non-reactive, corrosion-resistant surfaceāall while staying lighter than stainless steel. This makes it easier to handle. The peel is thin but super sturdy, so it glides under smoothly and supports even heavier dough without bowing or wobbling.A few quick notes:⢠Dishwasher detergents can sometimes damage anodized surfaces, so stick with hand-washing if you want it to look its best.⢠The underside has deep grooves around the handle areaānot a big deal, but flour could get stuck if things get messy. This peel feels like a well-balanced tool thatās designed for real-life kitchens, not just showpieces. With a little care, this is a great product, at a fair price that's built to last.
