The item purchased is both affordable and serves its purpose effectively. I am pleased with this acquisition. The device performs commendably even when subjected to strong wind conditions, and it delivers clear audio output for communication.

Good alternative to rode
It’s a significant sound improvement from the inbuilt mic and good at isolating sound. The shock mount is rigid plastic so it won’t be v useful to absorb minor bumps. Using it with a longer cable (to use on a stand boomed above your subjects) is hit and miss on some phones - older phones and tablets see to introduce auditable static although the same cable into a recent iPhone was ok. There’s no problems using the short included cable on the same devices though

Perfect vlogging mic
I love this microphone! If you're just starting out making videos, then this should be your first port of call. The main reason most people click off a youtube video is that it has bad audio - this solves that problem nearly instantly. First things first... you get the microphone, a shock mount (with a cold shoe bottom), two cables, a dead cat and a little bag to keep it all in. It's really small, that's the first thing to note, and I carry it around in the front pocket of my backpack. It's light and super easy to just have on you at all times. It comes with two different cables for two different functions - one to plug into a camera or an external recorder (such as a zoom h1) and one to plug straight into a phone's microphone/headset jack. If you've got an iPhone, you'll need a dongle, but that won't come as news to you. It sounds fine, albeit a little tinny. It's loud enough that you won't have to add masses of gain and, for most people, this microphone should be pretty much plug-in and play. It's great for vlogging, and there's no battery in there so there's nothing to remember to turn on/plug in/charge - it just works. That's the best thing about this mic - it just works! Highly recommend it, so much so I have two of them

Absolutely shocking
Dreadful microphone. I know it's fairly cheap but it is horrendously noisy. I used it with my dslr at first, just tonnes of hiss and so I assumed it was the dslr due to it having no pre amps. I then plugged it into my tascam and recorded audio seperately to the dslr but still got the same hiss. I did not expect it to be an amazing mic for the price tbh, but I also didn't expect the noise floor to be that bad. Don't buy it, terrible.

Brilliant for small youtube channels and new vloggers
As a new youtuber I found this mic so easy to set up, and to use. It is quite literally plug and play. It comes with all the necessary leads unlike the other similar brands and the sound quality is deffinitely better than my original smart phone mic. Its sturdy, fits directly onto my tripod with the cold shoe and just works so well. I'm very happy with this mic. I honestly think this is a very good budget friendly mic for a small youtube setup, definitely worth the money invested. EDIT ONE YEAR ON So, I stopped using this last January as I bought a new camera and the audio was ready good on the camera so I thought Hey, I dont need it. I've just used it again on my camera and the sound quality is SO much better. I cannot even believe I've just spent a year not using this mic. I liked the mic on my phone, it was budget friendly and better but the mic is so much better on my camera than what it was on my phone. My audio is crisp and I'm really happy for the price. Just be careful if your recording on a desk tripod and using the desk as everytime I put makeup back on the desk the microphone picks it up through the tripod lol. Would deffo recomend especially for a camera external mic.

Could have been great.
This gets rave reviews and I can see BUT... Initially mine seemed fine, sounded great and appeared well built. However, when moving around I noticed the sound had several clicks & clunks. After checking everything was tightened down and the cable secured I noticed that whenever the microphone was moved it rattled. Upon further examination it was clearly coming from within the microphone itself. Obviously this was the cause of the clicks n clunks being recorded. I bought mine for use with a Sony camcorder so although I noticed immediately upon arrival there was no TRRS included this in itself wasn’t a reason to return. It should have been a warning perhaps that somehow I may have been sent a previously returned product or maybe mine was just the result of a bad day on in QC. I returned it, nearly ordered another but I think the Rode VideoMicro is what I’ll choose instead.

Decent
Works fine. Not top quality but recorded better than my Nikon D3200, Canon PowerShot SX60 Hs, and Ordro HDV-B320 internal mics. Worth its price.

Bell'accessorio
