My Mom was very pleased with her gift. Its so nice that everything comes with it. The needles, embroidery hoops, and embroidery floss.

I am not a beginner, and this set was a bit challenging and took me a bit of time. Only reason not 5 stars is that many of the colors were off and the pre-stamping did not entirely match the design instructions.

Colors are way different than the photo, I'm a few hours in & have just started picking my own. The guide is terrible - just had to look up videos of each stitch & they do not look like the ones pictured. It's my first attempt so I'm going to finish it for the practice but if you're looking for a good step by step guide through the whole thing this won't be easy for you, and don't get too attached to the color palette in the photo- because it's not even close. The pattern is also too small for the hoop and does not fill it up like pictured either

I'm new to embroidery. This would have been my 4th or 5th project. Definitely not for beginners. Definitely doesn't match the pattern pictured. Definitely doesn't include matching colors. And DEFINITELY doesn't provide sufficient instructions. You could get this for the hoop. I really like the hoop. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother whether you're experienced or not.

Just returning to doing needle work. This is a great starter kit. The directions are comprehensive and easy to follow.

I am not a new beginner, but not by means great at embroidery yet. That said, I think this kit would have been doable...if the company had not ommited stitch instructions for over half of the project...see photo. The numbers indicated in white on the photo, must correlate to the thread color, but on the thread sheet, the colors don't seem to match up correctly. Additionally, quite a few elements are not even labeled with the thread color at all, in addition to not leaving the instruction for what stitch type to use where. The threads come on a cardboard board, labeled by number, see photo. I think if you were very intermediate or advanced with hand embroidery, this set would be okay...that is, if you are okay with the guess work. The photo of the project is not clear enough for me to even guess which stitches may have been used. Overall, this set leaves a lot of guess work. I'm literally giving it 2 stars because it's an okay price for what you get. It came with the project pattern pre printed on white canvas, a plastic hoop, thread, the aforementioned terribly put together instruction sheet, and three needles. I'm going to try and finish it, but by the looks of the thread sheet...I'm wondering if there will even be enough of certain colors. I'll do my best to update my review when I finish the project. Also, the instruction sheet is not written in good english and some of it makes zero sense. See photo of where it lists "friendly tips." Overall, I would not recommend this option to a friend.

This is an excellent value. It is NOT a beginner level project, and the instructions lack the information required to complete the project as pictured. If you know how to do French knots, or can learn from another source, you can complete this project beautifully. Also, at a certain point I just stopped looking at the instructions and just finished it how it looked good, sort of fun to use my painter’s eye to complete it. Again- great value and beautiful colors.
