I've had this fan installed in a bedroom for a few months now and wanted to give it a quick review now that we've had a chance to live with it a while and get to know it well. Let me start off by stating that I believe this fan is really a great value for anyone and it certainly has the build-quality, feature set, and functionality of much pricier units. I like pretty much everything about it with only a few slight changes I'd like to see. To begin, everything came out of the packaging in 100% perfect condition. Everything was meticulously packaged for a hefty item and the parts were well presented and organized. I have decades of experience doing all manner of assembly, construction, electrical renovation, and installations like this and, I admit, this would not be a "super-simple" assembly and installation process for someone who isn't familiar or somewhat experienced with this kind of job. The assembly instructions were generally clear and straightforward, but I did have one or two instances of having to check extra carefully to be sure of the correct order of washers, and bolts, etc. Some of the diagrams could have had larger detail to make that part a lot easier. That said, pay close attention and you should be fine. I will add that I accessed my attic over the bedroom I installed this fan in and installed a new support box specially made for mounting a heavy ceiling fan to. In my estimation, this is the correct way to do this job. This fan isn't particularly heavy but I like to play it safe. After the fan was installed, it was time to try the remote and see how everything worked. Well, fortunately everything works great! There are numerous settings for the downward-facing room lighting which allow you to select from many degrees of color temperature and brightness. I'd appreciate the range of dimming going a little lower than it does but it doesn't. Even at its dimmest, it's still slightly bright for my taste. The ceiling-focused night light feature is great and very handy to have but it lacks any brightness adjustment whatsoever and it, too, is brighter than it needs to be in my opinion. Just a tad lower would be great. One thing I'd suggest as a product improvement is the wall-mounting bracket for the remote. Most of the buttons I need to push daily are at the top of the long, slender remote unit, which I leave nested in its wall bracket all the time. The problem is, there is no support between the remote and the wall when it's nested so, every time I push a button on the remote, it pries on the wall bracket and I fear that it may eventually loosen the screws holding the whole thing in place. An upward extension on the molded bracket would solve the problem and make it permanent and reliable for years. Lastly, the look of the fan in the room is extremely clean, neat, bright, and modern. The light color blends well with the white ceiling and would match any decor. We couldn't have found anything better-looking than this. Sleeping under it is very pleasant and it's very close to dead-silent on the lowest setting that I use. From the feel of the unit, I expect it to last a long time. The only concerns that are always "unknowns" are electronics but only time will tell on that, of course. So, I heartily recommend this fan with zero reservations. My wife and I are both quite pleased with it and may buy another one for another bedroom. For us, this fan was a perfect choice!

1> step 4 attach blades to motor , with 5 blades added I could not hang on hook. With 4 blades I could, but it was not easy. Then steps 10,11,12,13,14, Then added 5th blade, then 5,6,7,8 [ I missed the safey rope on 1st install ] Step 8 second install I pulled about 3" of light cable [ after removing tie wraps then putting ties back], connected safety rope , connected light, Step 9 . Applied wall switch power , the big light came on as did the night light, remote #'s 1-6 start the fan center button stops fan, I started #1 the pressed Rev after spin down delay fan reversed tested light buttons all worked. I did not have to do any pairing of fan/light to Remote.... Would like to know where a fan controller for this fan can be obtained ???? etc...

Light flickering and then stopped working entirely. Waste of time and effort to assemble. Avoid!

This is a 52 inch ceiling fan that will spin in both directions. One direction is meant for winter, the other direction is meant for the warmer months. I chose this one because of the adjustable LED light option. It can be operated using the included remote control. The light can be adjusted by temperature and brightness. There is also a small ring of light at the very top base of the fixture that is a low-light option. Makes for a good night light. Not many ceiling fan have this addition of the low light on top. The blades of this ceiling fan are actually reversible. Meaning you can literally flip them over for a totally different look. One side of the blades is a solid white color, making this an all white fan. The flip side of the blades is a light-colored hardwood design. So you have the white fixture with the light wood design fan blades. Very cool. All of the instruction that you need is included in the manual. I had to have help installing this, so it may take 2 people to get it properly installed. Once it is finally installed, it gives such an updated and modern look to your space. I appreciate the remote control operation operation. The fan has various speeds to choose from. Even the highest setting is not loud at all. And it is quite powerful. Gives a great amount of airflow in the space. This is a great updated modern ceiling fan for the fair price of $99. I appreciate the LED lighting option as opposed to having to constantly buy and replace old lightbulbs.

First, let me clarify that this review is for the FIVE BLADE, 52” ATOLIT fan. Many of the reviews here are for the 42” THREE BLADE fan. These fans are NOT the same and have different (albeit similar) features. Even the Remote is entirely different. From what I can tell, the 42” fan is also from a different manufacturer, as well (TALOYA). The ATOLIT Ceiling Fan with Lights, 52 inches, White and Ash color, arrived well packaged. Installation instructions are well written and easy to follow. Total assembly and install time, including removing the existing ceiling light fixture was about one hour for one person. Assembly was routine, no more or less difficult than other ceiling fans. Wiring and mounting were straightforward as well. Attaching the light assembly was easy, too. It has full functionality to both circulate the air and provide adequate lighting for a Medium to Large size area. I am impressed with the amount of air flow this fan provides, even when set on the lowest setting. At the highest speed, the fan generates a tremendous breeze that will be nice on the hottest days. My photos show the “blur” of the High and Medium speeds and the lack of blur for the lowest setting. Even at the highest speed, the only sound you hear is the whoosh of air movement. The fan motor itself is virtually silent. I am also impressed with the amount of light given off. The LED rating for this light is 24-watts, which equates to about 150-watt incandescent bulb output. At the brightest setting, it is almost too bright for general purpose lighting. The dimming feature is a real plus, allowing us to adjust the amount of light to the “just right” setting. Also in my photos, you can see just how bright this light is on the maximum setting. The remote uses 2 AAA batteries (not included), and usage of the remote is easy to figure out. The remote will easily control the fan blade direction and speed, the light color mode (cool white, warm white and one color in between) as well as brightness of the light. There is a separate button for the “night light” (on/off only), which is a separate, nice dim light that shines up on the ceiling for a soft glow in the dark. In addition, this has a 2-4-8-hour timer option to automatically shut off everything (both the fan and lights, including night light, are shut off) after the selected amount of time. There is also a “Buzzer On/Off” switch on the side of the remote. From what I can tell, this only controls audio feedback (a beep) when a fan speed button is pressed. The light control buttons do not emit an audible tone when pressed. The remote comes with a mounting bracket (and mounting screws) to attach to the wall to hold the remote. The remote can be removed from the bracket so you can keep it handy at your chairside or bedside if desired. We mounted this bracket next to the existing light switch by the doorway going into the room for convenience to turn the light on/off when entering/leaving. To top it all off, this is an attractive unit and fits in nicely with our décor. We opted to install with the Ash color blades facing the room (the other side is a white that matches the fan housing) – see photos. This fan is also available in two other colors, giving you options to best match your décor. It can also be installed outdoors in a covered patio or similar, giving even more flexibility to this unit.
