Yes, you can feel the metal bars.  I brought a tri-fold mattress and 2" memory foam to go on top and it was really comfortable.  The bed is made really well, just needs more cush.

Can this bed be used every night for a 370lb person?

Well I am only about 260lbs, so i don't have that large a frame, but the main concern would be how soon the memory foam mattress starts to give out.  When i first got this product back in January of 2020, I also purchased from Walmart a 3 inch cooling gel mattress topper to go on top of the memory foam mattress that came with the bed.

But about 10 months later the both mattresses started to sag a bit, I bought some "cushion reinforcers", and even those only worked for so long.  Thus I recently had to order a hybrid innerspring mattress from JC Penney (which is scheduled to get delivered in a week) to take the place of the memory foam mattress.  Now in all fairness my back has never been a long term fan of memory foam mattress in the first place.   And when I get the new mattress, I obviously won't be able to fold it in half, when trying to close up the bed frame, but I will be able to stand the new mattress on it's side when the bed frame is folded up.

But things like this I tend to get based upon their ability to withstand long term use.  So I hope this answer to your question helps.
