A great low cost RIS-V SBC.
OS was easy to image and worked out of the box. Performs a lot better than the VisionFive 2 offering faster CPU and GPU performance. The software was easy enough to set up. This is a great upgrade from a VisionFive 2 while being more affordable and a significant advancement for RISC-V.

a step in the right direction
I received the 4gb model rather than the 8gb I ordered, so the software I’m attempting to port won’t build. Also, don’t change your hostname or your Linux install may be rendered unusable, and the display output maxes out at 1080p. Other than that, this board is still miles ahead of the VisionFive 2, in that it’s fast enough to render a Gnome desktop. It also runs cool enough to use with just a copper plate and aluminum heatsink.

Great entry board for RISC-V
8GB model, with 256 GB SSD. Great board needing better support. OrangePi OS (android) is in Chinese. Ubuntu/Gnome/Snaps is too heavy for this lightweight board, and is hard to use with touchscreen, though it did install nicely. Maybe just need to adjust some settings. Looking forward to other distros for it.
