SO MUCH AMAZING
Absolutely wonderful! The tank itself is plastic and has a steep arch upward as shown in the product's images, and the arch continues up into the middle of the base, reaching the same peak as on the outer edge. While this makes for some interesting décor placement techniques because you don't want to put too much gravel/sand in (I used my own sand because I wanted to have a black base for the setting) it doesn't hinder anything else. The top is sturdy and fits snugly. No snap down or anything, instead resting lightly on the rim, however not at all easy to knock off (thank god, I have cats that use their ingenuity). The little flags took some twisting and pushing to get into the holes, but that's all well and good because I can be certain they won't fall out of there. It also came with the bag of white gravel and the starter betta food and water conditioner (didn't use). All of that being said, here's what I did with it.The dimensions are extremely small, as per a half gallon. The tank only offers you about 6-7 cubic inches to work with. This is WAY too small for any fish (with the exception of a small Betta, as in, grown size is less than 1 inch not including the tail, and it has very little tank decorations in it's way) for a number of reasons: There's no option to put in a filter without excessive work to make it function properly, there's also not a good way to heat the tank unless you use something like a heating pad, and the size of the tank itself is much too constrictive as fish tend to need to be able to move at any speed at any moment. All three of those things together make the list of livable species of freshwater fish mostly non-option. That said, as I mentioned above, a small Betta would be perfect because they tend to not do much, preferring to idle or lazily swim about. This tank is big enough that a small male or typical female Betta would have room to live happily.Your alternative option is to go with invertebraes (snails or shrimp). I don't reccomend snails as the lid isn't snail-proof and those little suckers like to explore, however shrimp make a fantastic option providing you can make the environment for them, which is entirely possible.I went a little overboard and my Yellow Neocaridina is living in luxury. Shrimp are algea eaters and scavengers, so it's incredibly simple to keep them fed and content. The big plus is that you could even get a pair of shrimp and they would be totally fine in the size of this tank (they only reach about a half inch to three quarter inch long). The only problem with shrimp is they are delicate when it comes to the ecosystem of the tank. I was lucky and had an established tank already with algea and live plants in it, so it was easy to create another little environment from the established tank. For someone just starting out, I reccomend going to your local PetCo or PetSmart, getting a live plant (4 inches tall max, not one that says "controls algea") and some basic soil enchancers (clerk will be able to help you find them, they're little nutrient blocks that go under the sand or gravel and keep your plant happy). You'll also want to pick up some algea tablets (sinking variety) and if you want you can also get some sinking pellets (very small, Betta size like the ones that come with this little tank are perfect). This creates an environment that keeps your tank cleaner (you have your plant using nutrients and therefore filtering the water, as well as the shrimp providing clean up duty) and requires very little maintenance. And on top of it, shrimp are incredibly cute when they run around the small space. They're very busy critters that are also equally entertaining (they're a bit smarter than fish, more fun to watch imo).TLDR:Get the tank, it's really well made and very neat to look at.Dimensions are about 6x6x6 not including lid.Don't get anything other than a small Betta or shrimp to put in it. Other fish will be incredibly cramped and unhealthy. If you get a shrimp you can make a nano ecosystem for under $25 by visiting PetCo or PetSmart and getting a plant and some nutrient supplements for the soil.Shrimp are cute, you should get one and put it in this tiny fortress.

Modern decor for your betta.
This is a perfect little betta home for a desk or office. My little guy loves it. Just make sure to utilize the small space it has by not putting so much decor and keeping things to a minimal. The only drawback is the small tank but its also perfect for its decor and compact space. Make sure to put it in a moderate temperature area where you will frequently locate to help with the water temp as its too small for a heater. And frequent water changes when the water is noticeably needing a change is needed. The design is fantastic and would probably get another. My one wish is that it was elongated as a black castle of x2 tanks so that it could be a gallon and have alot of swimming space length wise.

Its a castle!
I love it. Its looks like a castle. I didn't check its measurements first and the Sponge Bob pineapple house I bought to go in it didn't fit, but that's fine. I don't care. On that note, I will warn you. Its not got a flat bottom, so be careful about how tall the things you want to put in it are. The inside is actually about an inch shorter than the outside because the bottom is concave.

Tommy Likes It!
I won a fish at the fair and have had him for 4 days now. Decided to pick up this tank for him. It’s super cute and way better than his temporary home was. Kind of small but good enough.

Perfect little house for a beta
We have a larger aquarium for the tropical school fish, and needed a cute desk top tank for the beta. The water conditioning solution works great. Super easy to feed without lifting the lid. If you keep up on the cleaning, this is a great size for a kid’s room.
