Wingspan is the perfect choice if you want a game that has more depth than standard board games but isn't overwhelmingly complex. The mechanics are smooth: you collect food, lay eggs, and draw from a massive deck of unique bird cards to create powerful point-scoring combinations on your player mat.Because there are so many different birds and bonus objectives, every single game feels fresh and requires a slightly different strategy. It plays great at all player counts, and the included "Automa" mode makes the solo version surprisingly fun and challenging. Learning the iconography takes a game or two, but once it clicks, the turns flow quickly. A masterpiece of modern game design!

So i originally played wingspan and lived it. when I saw this i had to have it and its definitely just as good. I highly recommend. Also you can tell the quality of the bored and peices. Definitely worth the price.

Not my favorite Span game (top is Wyrmspan). However, it is still VERY fun to play. They cheaped out the cardboard pieces instead of including something like the eggs in Wingspan. But still fun and would HIGHLY recommend if you enjoy Wingspan.

This is an excellent game! I've loved the span games ever since wingspan. I was worried that after wyrmspan they were taking a step down. Let's be honest, a board game about fish sounds pretty lame after dealing with dragons. But this game does an excellent job of simplifying the wingspan experience. Wyrmspan made it more complicated, but finspan makes it more casual.The basic premise is the same as wingspan or wyrmspan. Three lanes you try to fill with different types of fish, but this game replaces the resource challenges with cards and eggs and fish. It makes for a much faster game.My favorite feature of the game is the fact that you can take back cards you discard. In wingspan and wyrmspan, once a card was discarded, it was gone forever. In this game you have the ability to take back cards you discard into your hand.If you are a fan of wingspan and wyrmspan, this game is for you. If you haven't played either of those games yet, this is a great way to get started.
