Incredible Saw
Incredible. We heat our house with wood and are in the process of clearing/creating trails. All in all, I use a saw a minimum of three hours a week so this saw has been used really hard. It has more then kept up. Gas chainsaws drive me nuts. I feel like I am always trouble shooting. This little light weight electric saw packs just as much of a punch without the noice. The battery lasts longer than a tank of gas, changing out the chain is way easier, and starting it is incredible. I will never go back to a gas saw. This is a complete came changer.

Seems to be working fine.
Great little saw even holds up to use at a landscaping company. Our guys now grab these ego saws first over the gas ones since this just always runs and easy to use on a ladder since you are not pulling a starter cord that can throw you off balance.

Great Little Saw
Great little saw. Nice and light, but lots of cutting power. This is my first electric saw and I bought it because my big Stihl has gotten too heavy for me to work with for long periods and because I'm no longer felling trees. For trimming branches and for general cleanup, this saw is great. I like that unlike a gas saw, when it's off, it's off. Really easy adjustment on the chain tension...no tools needed. I may buy an extra chain...

Awesome one-handed limbing saw!
Bought this to replace an old anemic battery saw that burned itself up. This saw has so much more power. Itโs relatively quiet versus a gas saw, but you sure do hear the chain scream. Itโs loud enough I couldnโt listen to a podcast while cutting, but music would have been fine or use ear protection with your favorite headphones. Used it to fell 2 standing dead oaks on my property, one was 6-8โ at the base and the other was 8-10โ. Using a 4ah battery from my blower provided lots of cuts, but was just on the edge of being able to comfortably and easily wield with one hand. The included 2.5ah battery was just the right weight for one handed limbing and bucking. Between the 4ah and a 2.5ah battery I bucked all of both trees and some other limbs that had already fell on the ground. There were several times where the saw bogged down or stopped. Iโm fairly aggressive with pushing my saws through the wood, so this has always happened to me with my gas saws too, but getting to cutting again is much easier on the electric saws, just let off the trigger and then pull it again. This seemed to happen more frequently once the batteries were down to 2 bars and isnโt really a negative, just something to know. I still have my trusty Stihl 20โ saw for larger trees and bigger jobs, but this little saw has got me thinking about selling it and getting one of the larger EGO chainsaws because at times I struggle to keep fresh gas around and keep the saw running when I need it. Plus thereโs no starter cord to yank a bunch of times to get it started and restarted.

Beware if purchasing a spare battery
The saw is fine, but the extra battery that I purchased to go with it, will not run the saw. Research said it was compatible with the saw, so I feel like I was scammed.

This is a great little chain saw
I have a small backyard. I had several small trees I had to remove and cut up into logs -- most between 3" and 4" in diameter and maybe one was 6" in diameter. This chain saw made the project easy and fun. The battery lasted a long time -- like, several trees. (I did the work over a few afternoons and charged the battery each night, so I never did actually run out of battery.) I also used it to cut a few big roots and that dulled the chain so I had to get a few spare chains. They're standard chains; that was easy enough.

I'm actually impressed!
I bought this to help clean up after hurricane damage and to limb up some large trees. I didn't expect a lot out of a battery powered chainsaw, but after running it through several battery charges of work, I have to say it's performance has exceeded my expectations. The chain cut is so aggressive that you almost have to hold it back to avoid stalling the saw. It makes short work out of anything 8" in diameter or smaller. It will cut up to the full length of the bar, with a little more patience. The 2 1/2 amp battery lasts through more than an hour of steady, medium duty use, after which you have an excuse to take a break(!) while the battery recharges. In my estimation this saw seems to actually have more power than the A/C powered saws of the same size that I've tried in the past. It's a winner. Now comes the durability testing...

great chainsaw. i got the 12 inch bar and it is great to get into the brush.
great little chainsaw!! oiler works well. i recommend you use ego chain oil. it is sticky and adheres well to the bar and chain. the ego battery gives plenty of cutting time.
