Great workout. I purchased these because I was looking for a good workout in the pool while recovering from surgery. I used them for a 45-minute workout that included 5 leg exercises, 3 intervals of 5 upper body exercises, and 3 whole body / cardio exercises. The bells were positioned for maximum resistance and the movement was as fast as I could move. I was impressed - the workout was as good or maybe better than a gym workout with dumb bells with less risk for injury. Concentration and effort still are necessary but it was so much more fun than being indoors. I was less sore than after a gym workout but with the same muscle development. Since resistance depends on position and speed, I think they'll work for anyone, not just beginners or those recovering from injury. And lots of traditional dumb bell exercises can be modified to use the Aqualogix bells.

The resistance Bell is an excellent upper body work out, it's sturdy and will last a long time.The fins comes loose around your ankle not comfortable because your constantly trying to tighten them while they keep loosening you'll end up taking them off.

The ankle fins don't catch the water as well as others I've owned. Also, the velcro closure won't stay tight so instead of providing good resistance, they slip around my ankles. The hand bells work well, but they're so big I can't fit them in my workout bag.

I have been going to PT for lower back and they use the blue hand ones for many of the exercises I do. Several of the leg exercises I had to try and do while using a small noodle. I ordered this set and took the legs one to therapy yesterday. The therapist loved them and is going to order for her patients. I used them and what a work out. Much more resistance than I had been getting. So happy with my purchase. I have a pool myself, so when therapy is over I can continue at home. Expensive but well made and if it helps my back.....well worth the price. Arrived faster than expected so that is a plus too.

I recently had shoulder surgery and needed to build my shoulder and arms back up. I tried free weights and machines only to exhaust my shoulder and create too much pain to resume exercising within a day or two. These resistance weights are easy to use in the water but give you a very good workout. You can do chest presses, fly-backs and range of motion exercises without the exhaustion because of the continuous movement of water. Within three weeks of three times a week workouts with these water weights and I started seeing the tone and strength come back. Don't let the smooth resistance fool you, three sets of 30-50 reps and by the time you hit bed, you feel the soreness. The next morning you are sore but no pain, just the reminder of the workout. If I had the time, I would be in the pool everyday with these weights. I am a female, 57 years old and I am getting the tone and strength back. Now, the lower body fins, move around your ankles no matter how hard you fasten the velcro. Given that, I still wear them for stabilizing my body and core. I do not use them for swimming laps as they move around too much and I have clipped them with one of my ankles when swimming. All in all, good price.

AquaLogix is very well made. The videos are especially informative about how to use the equipment. I would purchase the higher end, more challenging versions of the aqua bells and ankle fins and don’t bother with the beginners set. I’m 62 and find the highest challenge set to be just right. The price is too high, in my opinion, but if your serious about aqua aerobics, you’ll bite the bullet.

Am loving the workout I am able to get with these. The lower body fins tend to slip around the ankle a bit, no matter now tightly I fasten them on but I still get the workout that I need. The whole package is a little more pricey than what I would have liked to have spent but I'm very happy with what I'm getting, along with the free videos that come with it. Are the paid videos really necessary? With the price you pay for the equipment, ALL of the workout videos should be free. They do warn you not to leave these items in the sun, and I can see why. They could eventually become sun damaged if they aren't cared for properly.

These are fantastic!! It really turns up your workout to a different level. I feel as if I was getting the same workout in half the time. The video gives you lots of different exercises to try.
