My personal opinion on this particular lighter is it's absolute trash. Number one when I received it the wick was barely sticking out of the hole that it comes through on the lighter there's a little too you have to slide it through and whatnot it's more of a pain in the ass than anything. That extra lighter fluid refill canister is not easy to fill. You would think you'd be able to just put the tip of the lighter fluid bottle or can whatever you have right in the neck of the little metal bottle and slowly squeeze some lighter fluid into it no that's not how it works. Even if you leave room for air to vent into it then only put just the very first maybe one or two millimeters if that into the neck of the bottle or if even if you're holding it above the neck of the bottle it constantly starts to overflow and bubble like you have to have it on an angle because it doesn't vent right. When you take the cap off to fill your lighter even if you leave the neck and shoulders of the bottle empty and only fill it up three quarters of the way when you go to pour it in the neck isn't wide enough to let air pass through and you have to stick the neck of the bottle up against the cotton and shake the damn thing up and down holding the lighter in the bottle in one hand until it's full. Not only that is if you're lucky enough to get one it does have the wick sticking out of it you can't stick anymore then maybe just the very very tip of the week out of the lighter which leaves you the smallest flame because when you go to slide the little cat back over the wick it'll benefit if it's too long and I guess to this company too long is having a flame more than 2 mm High but if you pull it up just to have a normal height flame like the height of maybe a Bic lighter the the cap hits the wick and bends it over the edge of the lighter and then when you go to light it next the wick is all bent and smushed up. Not to mention is you have to refill that lighter literally like every 10 to 12 cigarettes because if you don't unless you're in your house with no type of Breeze the lighter fluid evaporates so quickly out of that that by your 10th or 12 cigarette you barely have any type of flame on your Wick and the tip of the wick is burnt to hell because it's got no lighter fluid on it. I thought about returning it but I was so disappointed in the quality of the entire setup I could have went and bought $20 worth of Bic lighters and been better off I threw the thing the lighter and the little bottle across my front lawn Into the Woods last night when I went to light a cigarette and once again it didn't have enough fluid in it it seems like all I was doing was constantly refilling that later do not buy.

the more ive used this lighter the more ive liked it. its just a great design like the dunhill its based off (or at least i assume so as i cant afford a real dunhill lol)

It's a nice lighter, but it would be great if you could see how much butane is in the lighter. There is no way to see if it's full or not. I also found that the butane does not last long. It must be a small tank. It didn't take more than a couple of months for the flint to start dwindling away. In the first month or so, it only took 1 flick to ignite the lighter. Now, I'm flicking 3, 4 and 5 times to get it to light. I've only had it for a few months. I still like the lighter. I just think there could be a couple of improvements.

This is an excellent pipe lighter at any price and especially for the price offered on Amazon. I had an older model that has been through the wringer and still functions as when new. When I found them on Amazon at this great price, I purchased one for a backup. It’s just as good as the original. Recommend them for any pipe smokers.

It works but had to reorder first delivery I got an empty box. After the reorder came it's fine and works ok but flame is low and won't go bigger. I worry it won't hold up long it's more a novelty than a longer term use.

I have quite a few pipe lighters. One of them is the expensive name-brand lighter sold on Amazon in this same style. I bought this one first, decided I liked this type of lighter, and took the plunge on the over-$100 one. But here’s the thing: I might be traveling with my pipes and not want to take that expensive one along in case I lose it, or run into a TSA agent who isn’t current on the regulation that says yes, you can take a lighter in your carry-on. On those occasions I use this one, and guess what? I can scarcely tell the difference. It may be that the expensive one is going to prove to be more durable in the long run, I don’t know. (Then again, I could buy five of these for the price of one of those, so…) This lighter is attractive, functional, and works reliably. Putting it side-by-side with the expensive one I can spot some differences in the construction, but so far those differences haven’t affected how this one works. I’m gonna say go for it. If you like the style, go ahead and get yourself the expensive one for Christmas. (Oh, and for Heaven’s sake don’t light your pipe with a torch lighter; save that for your cigars!)
